So, I produce this show titled L.A. Macabre. We released our first season starting last October in 2014 and starting hitting the festival and awards circuit this year.

We’ve received some great responses to the show and a majority of the people that see what we’re doing REALLY enjoy the series. To date, it is the work I am most proud of as a producer. 

Well, this last Wednesday, April 1st, 2015, we attended the 6th Annual Indie Series Awards in NoHo, California. We were fortunate enough to receive two (2) nominations for Best Ensemble Cast and Best Series - Drama. Up against some incredible shows with incredible talent; shows nominated for Emmy’s with actors that have serious pedigrees, we were able to take home the Best Series - Drama award! We were STUNNED and honored, elated and overwhelmed, humble and honest. We’re living in a time of storytelling where anyone with a voice and a phone can create. It’s an exciting time and those with talent, drive and determination are starting to rise to the top of those creating. We’re fortunate to be recognized alongside of other extremely talented individuals and teams; and it forces us to be better at what we are doing. 

As a producer, I have to get better at what I do. There’s always a new challenge. The next season of L.A. Macabre will bring challenges that I haven’t faced before, but I am armed and ready to tackle them. Will we accomplish the things we set out to do? Will we tell the story we want to tell? Will it be interesting, compelling, entertaining? I can only hope so. Others seem to think we’re doing something right, and that’s a pretty good gauge on what you’ve done in the past. I can only attempt to be the best at what I do to give us a shot at recreating these special moments.

Producing Is Hard turned 2 today! I'm going to try and keep this blog updated a little more this year. I'm on some exciting productions that I'll be able to discuss (eventually). Here's to another year of creativity and kicking ass!

Well, a film that I have talked about here and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram is FINALLY getting a home video release. This May 27th, Claire will be available on VOD, PPV and DVD through Monarch Home Entertainment! Cheers to all the cast / crew and the awesome post production and distribution teams that brought this film home! Well done!
