(Wow I’m five years older now, crazy. I’m not on Tumblr often, but honestly I might start posting some more headcanons back here! Lemme just get into character real quick.)

Hello everyone! Apologies for an extreme hiatus, professor-ly business and all got very distracting. In other news, Mira (who you knew as a Carvanha) is now a big and strong Sharpedo! I also acquired a lovely Bramblin from Paldea, whose name is Wander! Now, onto the headcanons!

The Sinistea Line:

There’s a common ritual similar to that of a Ouija board that some of those in Galar do, mixing a variety of liquids into a teacup (the liquids vary depending who you ask) and drinking them to “see spirits”, inspired by Sinistea.

Polteageist are often somewhat snooty Pokemon when it comes to personality. There are many accounts of Trainers in Galar who attempted to transfer theirs into a metal kettle, and having to deal with a pouty teapot for about a month afterwards.

So, I’ve seen a thing going around of people asking what Pokémon type, and what they would be like, so I want to do it! Suggest things, and try not to go for obvious things.

Tympole’s vibrations can occasionally be felt by humans if they put their hand on a tympole’s cheek, however it is very faint and Tympole’s tend not to like it.

Palpitoad like to play with their food by vibrating nearby their prey, allow it to swim away for a few moments, and then snatch them with their tongues.

Some Seismitoad’s vibrations can rarely manage to get to the frequency of the human body, causing for some catastrophic situations.

In some regions, “pulling a Gothita” is when someone zoned out for a period of time, whilst staring into space.

Some geographers have found field covered in stones, marking constellations, left by Gothorita.

Gothitelle are also seen as the “astronomy” Pokémon, due to their fixation and pull towards the stars, and their positions.

Shellos, despite being cuddly looking, don’t like hugs. Too much pressure on their bodies makes them stressed and releases purple fluid from their skin.

It’s unknown why Gastrodon go on land occasionally despite never needing too, however their journey is often documented to track possible migratory paths.

Day 12: Delibird!

Delibird is commonly seen in times of the holidays, and has it’s own tradition in the regions it appears in.

In Johto, it’s seen as a symbol of bountiful feast, and people tend to use figurines of the Pokémon to ensure that their dinner goes well.

In Hoenn, it is thought of as a benevolent hermit that lives in the snowy mountains, and who ever spots him will have good luck on their climbing expedition.

In Sinnoh, it is thought of a helper to Father Christmas, mostly working on filling stockings with toys and candy.

In Unova, it’s believed that if you leave Pokefood outside of your door on Christmas Eve, the Delibird will be happy with the offer and make it snow.

In Kalos, it’s also thought of as a helper, and that they assist in making the toys in the workshop.

And In Alola, they are seen as a sign of harvest and generosity.

Day 11: Snowy Form Castform

Castform’s skin in this form is extremely delicate and fragile, and can crack when even pressure is applied to it.

Day 10: (cuz I forgot yesterday sry) Articuno

It’s said in Kalos, that if you see the wings of an Articuno soaring through the sky, you’ll have good luck for the whole winter.

Day 9: Regice

It’s thought by some researchers that the ice that makes up Regice’s body had enough pressure but on it to form it into a tough, ice like crystal, which is nearly impenetrable.

Day 8: Vanillite line

Despite it’s name being having Vanilla partially in it, Vanillite isn’t made of ice cream, nor vanilla flavored, however it is generally thought that the vanilla plant was named after the Pokémon.

Some Vanillish owners have taken up the practice of letting their Pokémon melt slightly, and then re-freezing it after putting it in a certain template that would make the shape of the Pokémon look more interesting. This is discouraged, but not necessarily banned, because the Pokémon have been known not to be distressed about the process.

The two heads of Vanilluxe can vary massively in personality, so it is good to know that while one head may enjoy something, such as a food, the other head may despise.

Fun Fact: The line is seen to enjoy the taste of vanilla bean, so it may be the reason why vanilla is named after it.

Day 7: Alolan Vulpix line

Despite being very cute and unassuming looking, Alolan Vulpix’s teeth are very sharp and strong, due to them having to eat their prey frozen solid.

Even though Alolan Ninetales aren’t legendary, and are just a regional difference, they are still seen as fairly sacred and it is illegal to try to capture or harm a wild one.

Day 6: Alolan Sandshrew line

Alolan Sandshrew’s skin has grown sensitive under it’s icy shell, so it can be prone to injury or irritation if/when it’s shell comes off or falls off.

Alolan Sandslash’s spikes can help it stick into wall with it’s back. There was once a news story that a lone sandslash unfortunately got stuck in the side of an icy cavern and took hours to remove safely.

Day 5: Glaceon

Glaceon like to soak themselves in water every few hours or so to prepare to use their frozen fur in battle. This is less common in domesticated Glaceon, but is still present, as a sort of muscle memory type evolutionary trait.

However, it is recommended to only let them soak for a few minutes, as to not allow them to completely freeze the water that they are in.

Day 4: (cuz I forgot to do it yesterday) Cryagonal

It’s unknown how Cryagonal came to existence, considering it is mostly just a living snowflake, but some legends say that a lonely snowflake saw Pokémon living happily below it and wished it could be like one of them, and somehow it transformed into a Cryagonal.
