Alright that’s enough playing. I seriously need to talk about this one. As seen in the image above, which is only seen in a pre chapter 5 aborted weird route, post snowgrave. Berdly is entirely missing from the festival King selections. Like he was omitted from it. In fact he’s entirely missing from the festival scene, gone, not mentioned in the slightest.
Furthermore, take a look at these following images. The Bromide evidence.
The left image is what you get under normal gameplay. The right, is again the aborted weird route. He’s just… he’s just gone!
Almost like he’s been forgotten. You know, his main fear? The biggest theme that’s followed him and his character? A literal descriptor he gives himself. “A forgettable little blue bird”.I mean for fuck’s sake barley anyone remembers his name!
I can count on one hand how many people, light and dark world, remember his name. Berdly. Simple as that, a fucking pun, and still no one can remember it. No one can remember this kid, he’s everywhere though! He works in the library, volunteers with the church, Angel knows what else!
I can’t say enough how worried I am about his future. Just what is he going to become? What… won’t he become.
Do please, add you’re thoughts, provide words to this evolving mystery.
(also, what is up with all the bird focused stuff? That’s like an entirely different conversation, but there’s so much bird stuff in Deltarune.)

like a more suped up Spamton / Jevil. Those two knew beyond just the dark world, Jevil with his game, and Spamton with… “Heaven”
But, they were darkners, a purpose to serve entertainment, that’s a know how in most every darkner we encounter. Yet they knew somthing beyond that, some vague understanding.
Ralsei… he actively mentioned game mechanics. Susie wasn’t to explicit about her thoughts. Mabye she thought it another quirk of the dark worlds? But that subconscious description Ralsei applies to it again feels like it expands to the light world.
goodness I’m rambling! My point is, Noelle dosent exactly know what her position is, unlike darkners she dosent have a clear purpose. Routine sure, I mean a Noelle is gonna Noelle, but she wants to break the pattern, go beyond.
Will she learn? What’s really beyond? Not that “subconscious” stuff, in the peripheral. But what’s past, the world.
does any of that make sense? It doesn't to me.
P.S. forgot to add this before posting. I think the Weird Route players are getting the Vessel back in chapter 7
Quite possible dear readers! I have just finished chapter 5 and were struck with an idea… or two!
perhaps I’ll write during my work break, after all most of my fics are completed within the hour or half day!
And a quick apologies, I’ve been rather dry on writing inspiration for the past few months. I think this little fic of mine could get me back on track! Classic mostly fluffy Berdelle content! With a small dash of hurt!
I don’t know how much overlap between the fandoms there are but I’ve been recently struck with an idea, one I can’t exactly enact due to my skill set, but I can talk about it!
So, Berdly right. He’s got a lot of protector type of themes, quite literally a knight. Goes on and on about protecting Noelle, blah blah blah. Anywho, I got into Bioshock again, there’s a certain Big Daddy in the second game’s DLC.
The Lancer, one of the most advanced Protector models. For some reason I couldn’t get the idea out of my head, of how good Berdly as the Lancer would be!
now I got Berdly and Noelle writing (or drawing if I finally get into it.) prompt hitting me up.
would Noelle be a little sister, or a big sister? I’m leaning to little sister due to her combat inaction in the game, but big sister is definitely cooler!
