*flops on floor* I am so blinking DELIGHTED to be done with this piece. It was a fun concept, but a painful execution. Now I can move on and work on other illustrations! Well worth every stroke and CMD+Z, though, ‘cause next to Link, Pipit is my favorite Skyward Sword character.

-   along with woodcarving, which we can see sky likes to do bc of the unfinished works in his room, he also enjoys other forms of 3d art! he likes sculpting and pottery, especially. he also sometimes paints 2d things, but he’s not as confident in his abilities to do so.

-   aurora is fascinated by non-divine magic. being the princess, of course she was trained in her divine abilities, but for instance, link’s magic or the magic that put her to sleep are so incredibly interesting to her. she’d love to learn how to do it herself, but unfortunately the magic of hylia is too strong for any magic she does to be anything other than godly in nature. for instance, she wonders a lot about her healing magic versus the life spell ‒ the difference, of course, is just the origin of the magic itself.

-   in his true form, ghirahim’s ‘skin’ feels hard and smooth, similar to porcelain or glazed ceramic. because his glamour is tactile as well as visual, his skin when he has it up feels a little more realistic, but it’s as if there’s a hard layer just underneath the ‘flesh.’

-   silence, being a princess with servants to do her hair for her, never learned how to do her signature braid crown, nor how to even braid at all. once they started getting closer before the calamity, she asked link if he was able to teach her. she never got very good, but post-calamity, she’s determined to finally learn how to do it herself.

-   sky has lightning scars up his right arm from the electric skyward strikes in the fight with demise.

-   eos has never visited a spirit’s spring, but she would like to one day see them all ( including ordona ). however, being the divine princess she is, she can still commune with them ( as seen at the end of the game when she asks them for help and they give her light arrows ), and often does when she is troubled.

-   though marin is known in both mabe and the animal village for her singing, she cannot actually play any instruments. she has a lyre that she has tried multiple times to learn to play, but she never had the patience to do so.

two unrelated headcanons about loftwings i don’t wanna post separately.

to fully understand the bond between a skyloftian and their loftwing, think of the loftwing as a less intense dæmon, but as a companion rather than a manifestation of the soul. though loftwings can obviously not speak and can fly as far away as they like, person and bird can sense each other’s feelings and general wellbeing at all times. from the second he woke up that first morning we see ingame, link felt an underlying sense of panic, but didn’t bring it up until zelda tried to push him off the edge. he, of course, was sensing nix’s panic at being locked up by groose.

the name of one’s loftwing is considered an incredibly private matter, to be shared only between bird and rider. this is why skyloftians only refer to their birds as 'my/your/their loftwing.’ as mentioned, link’s loftwing is named nix.
