UNLESS DISCUSSED OTHERWISE -- all threads are officially DROPPED. If we had something going that you would like to keep, feel free to message me about it. Iâm currently in the process of slowly resetting this blog & cleaning it up, but I will toss out a starter call after Iâve taken care of a few things.Â
â Ah -- â   Arms folded across chest & the Yiga cleared his throat with a forceful cough to draw the necessary attention.   â I do not believe that is a word, sir. â    @blightcastâ

âCastle Town?â It had been quite some time since Urbosa had been able to make the journey to Central Hyrule. In the nearly ten years since the Queenâs passing and with the older the Princess became, her visits became few and far between. Zelda was a young adult now, and as such, didnât require as much time or care from a practically adoptive mother figure anymore. Urbosaâs biological daughter, however, was still young enough to need at least some of her motherâs care and guidance.
So many duties and responsibilities kept her right here in the Gerudo Desert.
âDid she happen to mention if anything was amiss? Itâs just thatâŠit isnât like her to not make such a request in person.â
Though her response may teeter on hesitation, Impa decided to allow a single detail to slip. She knew well of the Gerudo Chieftainâs almost maternal bond with the Princess, having witnessed it through various encounters & meetings before-- a side she could only wonder if many got to see of the powerful desert queen.       â Her father requested that she stay behind, he had certain matters he wished to discuss. â   It was all the young Sheikah would give in turn, gaze purposely casting away. Impa worried for Zelda, knowing how... tough, her father could be at times. It was only once assured the knight would be by her side, that Impa agreed to leave the Princess to make the journey to Gerudo Town.Â
gerudofuryâ.
How they had both managed to temporarily escape the business of their lives remained a mystery and felt like a miracle. Not only that, but for a few days as well! Urbosa could hardly believe it.
The Gerudo was up late, as usual, enjoying the peace and quiet the stable offered while most of its patrons slept. The stars were bright and visible with not a cloud in the sky while the gentlest of breezes blew through the area. A perfect night.
Made even more perfect once her companion decided to join her.
For a while, they sat in comfortable silence, the only noise being the occasional crackle from the campfire, that is⊠until her friend decided to break the silence with a request.
There was the smallest of pause as Urbosaâs emerald eyes cut over to the other, corners of her mouth slowly upturning into a smile. Her hand was offered, waiting to feel Calistaâs smaller one in her own before pulling them both to stand, moving away from the fire and drawing Calista in close.
Closer than was probably required.
âWould you like fastâŠor slow?â
This wasnât an opportunity Urbosa was willing to let go to waste.
Dainty fingers twined with Urbosaâs own as Calista allowed herself to be pulled to a standing position. There was a gentle intake of breath as the proximity between them began to close-- has her heartbeat always been so loud? Her heart felt as though it would beat right out of her chest in that very moment. Oh, how she hoped Urbosa would not notice.Â
A bright smile would grace her lips, & Calista could feel the warmth as cheeks gained a faint hue of crimson. The mood was not set to dance in stride with a fast pace. No... thatâs not what she was after on that seemingly perfect night.Â
â What kind of question is that? You should know that I would prefer slow. â   & with that, Calista began to move. Gentle as the breeze that brushed against them, she started to sway, smile remaining ever present as she led the Gerudo in their dance. The fluid movements came easy to the Princess, having attended countless formal gatherings at the palace.Â
    This time was different.
Though there was no music surrounding them, no polished dance floor beneath their feet-- it felt better, almost surreal. There was a seemingly endless supply of partners at the balls that her parents would host & yet with Urbosa, she knew it would be so different. No clumsy footfalls, no arrogant quips about her own movements or meaningless chitchat between strangers. Her heart fluttered at the thought of being pressed close to the Gerudo, the person she has come to know & trust more than anybody.    â Does this night really have to end? â
lighthearthâ.
âDepends on what end youâre on,â Link teased back with a lighthearted chuckle.Â
Though that was all he needed to hear before swiftly getting to work. He set the bundle of wood he held near him before brandishing his sword and unleashing a few precise cuts on the nearest tree. A few precise hits to the trunk and the tree came tumbling down. Squirrels in the area scampered off leaving some of their treasure trove of nuts scattered about.Â
âThis is good practice,â Link huffed, rolling his arm back.
â Is it? â    Mindful of his injury, Harth knelt to gather some of the scattered acorns. Without a single glance at the Hylian, he figured it best to explain his curious actions.    â I scavenge various nuts while venturing through the woodland. Molli has taken up the hobby of cooking & I try to support her endeavors. The current recipe she has been attempting is SautĂ©ed Nuts, I imagine a traveler passing by the village stables introduced her to the idea. â   The fledgling still required a lot of practice when it came to the culinary arts, though heâd never say as such aloud.Â

â Well! What do you think? A PRIME ROCK ROAST just as the great Daruk used to make-- I followed his recipe & everything. â   Bouncing heel to toe & back, Yunobo clapped as an expectant gaze fell upon Link.   â Go ahead! Give it a try! â   @lighthearthâ
regnantlightâ.
âThank you, Impa, but I can continue.âÂ
She had to, no matter how insistently the sun tried to beat upon her head, capturing the light of her hair and using it to trap layers of heat. Zeldaâs legs pushed through the sand until her calves burned. Vaguely, she recalled when the Duke of Falkirk once offered to gift her a rare pair of sand boots in exchange for a private dinner together, which she declined. Now, however, she was somewhat regretting that particular decision.Â
âHow is the Sheikah Slate? Is the map functioning yet?âÂ
Impa could only hold her breath, forcing back the lingering sigh that threatened to spill out. Their journey together was proving to be more arduous than sheâd anticipated & if the Sheikah was reeling, she could only imagine how the Princess felt after so long. Yet theyâd press on, Impa falling back a step & ever vigilant of their surroundings. It was her DUTY to protect the Princess at all costs & with great pride, she would see it through.Â
Restless gaze flickered back to Zelda at the query, hand moving to rest upon the slate pressed against her hip. Fingers curled forming a grip before removing it from the pouch that protected the ancient technology.   â Not entirely yet. Iâm hopeful closing more distance will help. The Kara Kara Bazaar should be close-- I think. â
â Get down! â   Words hissed between clenched teeth as the Sheikah waved to indicate a large boulder, an order not meant to be taken lightly. Up ahead roamed a blue lynel, ears perked & alert for any hint of a sound out of place. A stronger opponent, one she hadnât been anticipating as she ventured through the East Gate of the Lanayru Road.   â It hasnât noticed us yet. â   @wolfviragoâ / starter call.Â
100 year departure
Bright rays of moonlight illuminated the night, along with the fading glow of the dwindling campfire. Solemn gaze remained transfixed on low embers-- to be traveling with Urbosa felt like a dream. To be settling in for the night at one of the many stables that decorated their path to the Zoraâs Domain, it felt surreal to the Princess.Â
Sneaking out to watch what remained of the campfire whilst her guard - Dimitri - slumbered blissfully in one of the beds was far too easy. Though Dimitri was getting up there in age, Calista knew her safety was assured with Urbosa so close to her side. If only it could stay that way.. But alas, once their trip would come to an end, theyâd return to their respective towns & their duties.Â
Calista would be certain to make the most of their time together. Starting with--    â Dance with me. â   No elegant tune, no solid dance floor, just the grass beneath them & the glimmering stars to guide them.   @gerudofuryâ (((:

â We should leave the sleeping monsters alone! â    Three moblins so blissfully wrapped in slumbers embrace remained unaware of their presence-- at least for the moment.
