Hello I am Professor Zzazz from the gl city region, we are rather sharply separate from many other regions and are closer to the Kanto-Johto area.
I study the unique creatures, pokemon, that inhabit this region, as well as give starters to anyone planning to leave home and travel. We do have some major cultural differences from other places:
- Most keep both a written journal + guide book as well as a pokedex. The pokedex is better moderated than other regions as we try to cut exaggerations, due to the larger than life pokemon that live here making it very necessary to keep information very strictly in order.
- We still have personal fly pokemon, and have maps that are very quickly updated whenever locations change. The most common of these fly pokemon are Missingno.
- The eye contact tradition only applies when safely within a town.
I do not keep a full team, but I do have Null, my Missingno., my coworker has a very friendly named Eebee.
Hello this is Ender/Hope/Candle (any works, I will most likely call myself Ender), this is an RP blog that will compile my headcanons about glitch pokemon, although there is a side story that professor Zzazz is a recovered ZZAZZ glitch victim and thus the data/memory corruption may be explored in some posts. Due to this, Zzazz also has a unique morph of Missingno that is two forms at once, she will most likely not talk about this.
I do ask everyone to respect the fact that I personally sometimes have unreality issues and will block without warning if someone starts saying things that would obviously make it worse when I call for a break on an ooc post.
(Unreality block counter: 1)
WHAT IS CANON TO THIS BLOG:
- Glitch pokemon are just fucked up pokemon, they have graphical glitches and everything, but in the end they are creatures and creature-shaped
- Missingno is a very common glitch pokemon, think like the ratatta or pidgey of this region. Missingno are also super common partner pokemon
- Almost every glitch pokemon is NOT A GOOD BEGINNER POKEMON in every other region, but in Glitch City people are basically specially adapted socally to be able to know how to care for them. Simply put, a glitch city resident would consider a lot of ‘easy’ pokemon from outside the region very difficult.
- Creepypastas are not real, but glitch city residents may share stories that resemble creepypastas! That said, an in-universe creepypasta (Jacred) does actually exist, but he is considered an urban legend.
- Old Man was a glitch city resident and moved out. He can tell you how to find certain glitch pokemon.
- Not all glitches work the way they do in game, if they did then Glitch City would have been wiped many MANY times over by now.
- Professor Zzazz does not know everything and often needs help from her co-workers. She leads the lab’s projects, but she considers her assistants equil or even more knowledgeable than her, even if she’s one of the few that figured out how to get two-way communication out of the region.
- Glitch City is not well known to those outside of glitch city and may be considered a creepypasta or legend. Glitch city residents know of other regions but are culturally separated from the other regions.
- Noone has actually pulled off the mew glitch, but Mew is the local mythical pokemon.
- Any pkmn irl blogs run by pokemon will be treated as in-universe RP blogs. Zzazz is willing to interact, but no trying to force the narrative that your blog really is the pokemon in question on poor Zzazz.
Pelipper Mail! Actually it's just Gilligan! With a giftmas present addressed to Zzazz from Simon!
[Inside the box is a very nice looking camera. It has capabilities of taking both still pictures and recorded video. There is also a small photo album in the box. There are a few photos inside the album, mostly taken at the lab. Quiet moments at the lab, a few from the Magikarp festival, one of aver and Simon's first rival battle that she took, a few from the Glitch City potluck (at least one featuring aver getting a face full of pie), a few pictures of Null and one of the three of them.
A note is included that reads-
Hi Professor Zzazz!
I know you asked for a camera for Giftmas so I wanted to make sure I followed through. This one is good both for taking video and still images, so I think you'll get a lot of milage out of it! I also included a little photo album. You are always writing down memories and making notes, but having pictures can help a lot too. I've included a few that were taken over the past year, just as a way to look back on the year fondly. There's a lot more space though, so I'm hoping you'll fill it up with memories.
Happy Giftman
-Simon]
I thank you so much Simon, this gift is very important to me.
I am glad I came out and met you, even with the events that ensued once we were on the map..
I have a tendency to be very aloof, but just know I do enjoy your company and help.
The lab will be open again next year, I hope to see you there
Sorry for dissapearing off the face of rotomblr for a while but there has been an incident at the lab.
Unfortunatly, someone intentionally started a literal bit fire and the building is not safe to enter at the moment. I am not going to reveal the names of the party responsable, but they are no longer working at the lab.
[Image of a hereto completely unidentified pokemon seen from the window. It is very small for a glitch pokemon and moving very fast. It appears as a small purple blur on camera, but it's obvious it has wings and very sharp fangs]
So things escalated...
These are not any known species of glitch pokemon. So far at least two of them came out of the lab.
They appear to be a result of the bitfire.
The group responsible seems to have taken their appearance and subsequent capture as some sort of victory.
I... have a really terrible feeling about this all of a sudden.

I am now asking people not to bring unevolved Eevee to glitch city until further notice, we can't keep having incidents with new evolutions for Eevee being discovered by accident in dangerous ways
Any fun information on glitched moves? Specifically the one that makes a wild pokemon fall asleep, get leech seeded, wake up, make an uproar, and then both pokemon die to perish song. I find that one particularly interesting.
(The first move shown in this video.)
Ok I will fully admit I've not seen that particular move used anywhere in Glitch City. Though I'm not surprised it was a Bulbasaur that learned it.
Many different glitch pokemon end up taking Bulbasaur like forms for some reason.
Anyway that attack (it looked like it was called . ) is rather unlike most other glitch attacks I'm familiar with.
Most glitch attacks display on a pokedex with names like TM25 or HM03 rather than attack names, but Glitch City residents have devised their own names for quite a few of them, such as Misdirect and Frusnap.
There are actually a large number of them that do not do much of anything at all. Take TM43, or Token Toss as it's Glitch City name is. It technically could deal damage but doesn't actually have any chance to hit anything. Instead the pokemon just scatters coins in such a haphazard way that it couldn't possibly hit anything.
A lot of glitch moves do have a chance to cause corruption though. Bit Crunch for example is a move that can't be used in competition, because of how badly it can corrupt the pokemon it is used on. It actually deals damage to its data in doing this.
So, yeah. Glitch moves can really run the gamut between incredibly dangerous and totally benign. And some of them don't do anything at all.
This move of yours is an interesting one though. Essentially it just results in both pokemon fainting after a brief fugue state. I can't imagine it's very good for either pokemon and should probably be avoided in general.
Small correction, Token Toss is not haphazard. It is thrown in the opposite direction of the 'target' of the move. Frusnap is what you are thinking of with an extremely haphazard move that rarely hits.
An update, interactions with Viper will cease as long as I can remember to do so. This is even more unhealthy for me and her than I had thought possible.
There is a person who I will not name but who will more than likely see this post and say something. I am as polite as possible to her despite her wickedness, but the story of why I tolerate her is for another time if at all.
At one point, however, she was hurting rather badly over loss, and I told her to write everything down she could. Everything, before she forgets.
We both forget quickly, unfortunatly we are glued to the same coin, and while she may be cruel I prefer to avoid cruelty myself. So I did warn her to keep any memories written down. Every detail.
That said, to this day I cannot remember anything about who I was warning her to record, only the most mild hints that there was once a time I knew someone through someone. Someone likely just as wicked as this lady if not more so.
...
I do hope she wrote down everything she could, I do not believe this person nor their memory will ever be coming back.
"Person I will not name" ever the coward Professor.
And of course it wasn't YOU that had to remind me to write this down! I came up with the idea MYSELF! And even if it WAS your idea, I would never take advice from YOU.
One little comment and that's all it takes to set you off? If that's really all it is, I'm surprised you've held together as long as you have. Hope you're not getting too ragged around the edges dear Professor.

That said, something I do not talk about very often is the fact I have managed to give myself the instinct to write things down even when I am struggling to understand what I am looking at.
Sometimes when I have a particularly bad day, I lose my ability to understand where I am. While logically nothing looks different, I lose my ability to process it properly and I typically will need outside help. This is one of the reasons I have a service pokemon.
One notable case recently is one I actually wrote down, an entry about navagating a seemingly endless string of rooms and hallways, noting things like static and a feeling something was following me.
It sounds like a nightmare, but according to my friends (after they calmed me down), Null got them because I was walking in a circle between four rooms in my own home for a while.
I am pretty sure if I remembered my dreams, this sort of thing is what they would be like.
