Another Bake Off begins! Have fun!

The term "Bake Off" comes from playwright Paula Vogel who used it to describe a writing exercise where writers had to create a script using assigned themes and elements in a short period of time. We here at Goose Thunder, plan to open a similar exercise to our fellow podcasters.

On Friday, April 23rd at 3pm PST/6pm EST, we will send out a list of five "ingredients" for you to include in a short, 10-15 page, script. Then you will have 36 hours to go forth and write, finding a way to incorporate all these elements into your story.

At 3pm PST/6pm EST on Sunday, April 25th, you will submit your completed script to the Google Form, posted on our website. Then, tune back in on May 1st to hear a couple of our favorites get performed by a few of our talented Goose Thunder actors!

SUP FOLKS I'M BACK TO SHOUT ABOUT SMALL PODCASTS THAT DON'T GET ENOUGH LOVE.

Today it's about @noviteropodcast and @project-ozma. I listened to both of them over the course of last night and today, and I loved them.

Without going too much into spoilers, Project Ozma is a (completed) podcast about humanity's introduction to the wider world of intergalactic politics. It centers around Percy (Persephone) and her best friend Quinn, who turns up one day after they haven't seen each other for five years and asks Percy to help her.

It's VERY GOOD and I adore the characters very much, and at several points throughout my listening I was shouting so much I had to pause because I was getting so emotional.

Novitero is set in the same world as Project Ozma, five years after the events of that story. It's not necessary to listen to Project Ozma first (I didn't, rip), the story and worldbuilding stands well enough on its own! Novitero is currently a work in progress and has twelve episodes out currently. It's EXTREMELY GOOD and I also love the characters in this story!! It very much has "be gay do crime in space" vibes, and the voice actors are all lovely. It's a banger of a podcast and I can't wait for the next episode!!
