A GUIDE TO SUBMITTING TAKES

Hi!! Yes, another project sekai takes blog. Inspired by @projectsekaitakes and @pjsk-hot-takes, both of which are on hiatuses!!

So, let's set some ground rules!!

Be respectful. This is a public blog where all sorts of people will see your opinions. It is a safe space for takes, yes, but please avoid rude or strong wording so as not to come off as harsh or mean. This goes for people commenting on takes as well.

While shipping takes are allowed, don't send in too many. At the end of the day, this is still a hatsune miku tap tap rhythm game with lore. Please don't turn this whole blog into ships. I will only post two shipping takes a day.

This is a blog for opinions, but not a blog for hate. Drop asks like “Nene's character is poorly written” or “Honami's character is always messed up”(not my personal opinions, just examples.), but no asks like “Ruikasa is fujoshi bait” or “Rui is queerbait”. Keep terms with “bait” out of my inbox, thanks.

I will not be tagging the characters themselves in takes. Each character and ship will have their own tag, but the only maintag I'll use is #project sekai.

No sexualisation of characters. Descriptions like “hot” tend to make some people uncomfortable, so please avoid using them. Also, all characters are still minors in-game. Please also avoid using such terms for takes regarding familial dynamics between the characters.

Please respond to asks in the notes, be it in the comments or reblogs.

Please avoid revealing any personal information about yourself in your takes, be it on anon or not.

No NSFW, donation asks, headcanons, etc. For headcanons, you can go to @headcanons-of-sekai ( tw for darkship ) and such. I will post three headcanons with a reminder, but after that, headcanons will be deleted immediately.

Before sending asks to me about who should cover what, who should commission who, etc., consider sending it to @prsk-suggestions instead!

‎as someone with some knowledge in music, the issue with the tokyo teddy bear cover isn't the key change, but most likely that they didn't get neru to remake the instrumental himself even though he has the original stems and everything. it sounds low quality because they lowered it themselves instead.. what's weird is that they've gotten producers to redo instrumentals before, like tengaku's. you can also listen to bandori and d4dj's covers, where the instrumentals are in the same key as sekai's but still sound way higher quality because they remade them.

which unit has the best covers and why is it niigo

no i mean like the covers themselves are of course AMAZING but also why does niigo always get the good songs to cover. like god-ish. netsu ijou. envy baby. cute na kanojo. shadow shadow. and many others (/vpos by the way niigo covers are FIRE)

people who are pushing that mizuki in the propose cover should've growled like 9lana or ado idfk which can possibly damage her voice are the same people that are against jiena straining when she sings as an. Do we not realize both can damage a voice or something. And then there's the argument they didn't put enough emotion into the cover do you just want 2 minutes of sato hinata weeping the lyrics on beat????? So confusing

No, leoni's tengaku and tokyo teddy bear didn't need to sound like hanatan's or the other typical angry-sounding tokyo teddy bear covers; they're following the original. No, niigo's mind brand and propose didn't need to sound belty or like 9lana's propose; they're following the original. And there's nothing wrong with that.‎‎

Y'all expect the directors to bring unique takes to covers, and when they do, y'all complain. Make up your minds. They're not going to follow other covers.

‎i like an's tone but omg literally a good majority of her alts either suffer from bad intonation, or a lot of vocal strain, or both. same with shiho but to a lesser extent.

props to ichika hoshino for being the only one who was singing in key or at least close to in peaky peaky since the mixers can't tune to save their lives (seriously why are all three alts pitchy).

Okay, sorry if this comes out as very unclear, I'm very bad at explaining things.

I really don't like the term ''Niigofication''. Why? First of all, while Nightcord does have a lot of cards where characters are depicted as unhappy, distressed or hopeless, they also have quite a few cards that have a happy atmosphere in them, like Kanade's Unique Perspective, Mafuyu's Super Exciting Three-Legged Race?, Ena's This Claw's Too Weak! and Mizuki's Perfect Presentation!. Second and lastly, it really annoys me how people just associate Nightcord with being really dark and grim. Like, hello? Their whole point is that they're creating music in order to give people hope. And besides, Mizuki is known for being cheerful. I've even heard people refer to them as a ''Wonderhoy girl'' before. Also, it's not true that Nightcord is the only unit out there that has a sad story. Leo/Need has Saki dealing with how her illness and chronic hospitalization as a child has affected her ability to do things that she loves, like spending time with her friends. More More Jump! has Minori dreaming to be an idol, yet getting rejected around fifty times. And, not just that. Despite her finally achieving her dreams of becoming an idol, she finds herself to be incompetent and struggles to keep up with the other more experienced members of the idol industry. And, there's Haruka, who had to live ridden with guilt for years and was made unable to perform as an idol for a very long time after causing one of her groupmates to unwillingly have to quit being an idol. In Vivid BAD SQUAD, An has to grapple with the death of Nagi, someone that was very dear to her, and the fact that she was purposely told to believe otherwise. There's also Toya, who was forced to spend hours and hours learning classical music against his will by his father. And Wonderlands x Showtime, despite being this eccentric and whimsical performance trope on the outside, they've also had to endure a lot of tribulations to get to where they are today. Tsukasa wanted to make his sick sister happy in the hopes that she would eventually be released from the hospital, yet eventually forgot about his goals before remembering them again, Emu's brothers always shut her ideas down despite how she wanted to honor her grandfather, Nene, despite having dreamed of becoming an actress since she was young, had to give up on her dream after gaining stage fright and Rui was constantly thought as weird, leading to him having to make robots to perform with him because people didn't want to spend time with him. So, Nightcord and its members aren't the only ones with dark and emotional stories, a lot of other units have them too, just that people don't tend to focus on them the way that they focus on Nightcord being sad.

TLDR; It's annoying when people generalize Nightcord as being dark and gloomy when they have their happy moments too and other units can also have dark and emotional stories sometimes too.

Few things I wish the game would introduce:

If you FC a song 50 times, you get a 10crystal reward, then another 10 at 100, etc etc. Just so songs don't then feel useless once you've FCed them on Hard/Expert/Master/Append, but a high enough ceiling that people can't just abuse it for endless Crystals.

If someone leaves a coop once song selection has finished (so everyone has picked the song) then the lobby stays up and those that didn't leave can stay and play the damn song

Mentioned this before, but let players blacklist a single song in the game. So it will not win in public lobbies if you're there (please gods, if I have to play Help me Erin one more time, I'm going to start biting)

They're such little things (in my opinion) but they're the things that eat at me a little bit every time I play and I'm either stuck playing a song I've FCed but can't clear the next highest difficulty, it takes me ten minutes to get a coop game because people keep leaving, or I have to leave because I will not play Erin.

I'm sure they'll never happen, but I shall remain living in hope about them!
