patience, to bind, to restrain, to be steadfast. what makes me patient is realising everything i'm rushing to attain can be taken away from me in a split second ... it can be wealth, good health, a loved one so practically anything you would consider 'worldly'. and not only can they be taken away from me, i could also cease to not exist anymore (inevitable death) so why cling onto things of temporal natures? that's what brings us rizq! rizq is sustenance which can come in form of a good friend that is always there for you and listens to your woes, rizq can be your spouse and this spouse may be good for you or bad for you, rizq is also wealth you amass... wealth of course is sustenance and what matters is how you utilise it. And i believe it was my immense and emotional suffering from a young age that forced me to be patient and be in a constant state of waiting usually for things to change and get better. i attribute a lot of the progress that i have made over time to being self aware and reading about what some of the things i felt meant and how i could undo some of those things. And this virtue is something that will always remain with me, even if things i badly desired or wished for don't end up realizing i will be patient until it does even if it means looking at it in a different shape and form.
