Blackbird Blackbird 내한 공연에 관심을 가져 주신 모든 분들께 깊은 사죄의 말씀을 드립니다. Proper Glow의 첫 퍼블릭 이벤트였던 Blackbird Blackbird 내한 공연이 뮤지션 본인과 에이전트의 일방적인 결정에 의하여 취소되었습니다. 그들은 그동안 저희가 계속해서 들여왔던 프로모션 비용과 노력에 대한 보상 등의 모든 책임을 회피했을뿐 아니라 심지어 계약을 파기한 사실을 제대로 고지조차 하지 않았습니다.

그들의 주장은 아시아 투어에서 서울 외의 쇼들이 취소되었고, 때문에 단지 서울만을 위해 긴 여정을 소화하기 힘들다는 것이었습니다. 이는 명백히 서울 팬들과 씬에 대한 비하일 뿐 아니라 사전 계약을 완전히 뒤엎는 극히 비상식적인 처사입니다. 게다가 이같은 결정 또한 사전 협의 없이 진행되었고, 같은 날에 미국 현지에서 아티스트의 공연의 잡혀있는 것을 저희가 발견한 후에야 이 사실을 확인하게 될 정도로 그들은 공연 진행에 있어 몰상식한 행태를 보여왔습니다.

Blackbird Blackbird’s show on 15th has been canceled due to unilateral decision by the artist and his agency, Decibel Music Group. Not just they neglected to inform us the cancellation in time, they also did not reimburse any of expenses and efforts that we have been putting for their own promotion.

Last weekend, we have found Blackbird Blackbird’s show in another city on the same day we booked, so we have inquired regarding this. They answered back saying that since additional shows than the Seoul gig weren’t booked, it is too time consuming to travel only for the Seoul show. Notifying the cancellation after being spotted a duplicated show just 5 days before the event is not just unprofessional and immature behaviour, also it’s an attitude clearly disrespecting Korean fans and the scene here.

We will share this absurd story with local artists and promoters not just in Korea as well as Asia pacific region, so that we can prevent this nonsense anymore. We will also boycott any future shows from Blackbird Blackbird and Decibel Music Group.

No matter what the reason was, we sincerely apologize to our supporters who were excited to attend the show, for not successfully finishing the promised event. We won’t let you down. We’ve come with a even better party, with even more talented local artists, on the same day, 15th this Friday, at the same venue, Cakeshop in Itaewon. We truly guarantee none of them aren’t any less awesome than those famous international ones. Come, and check that out, and see how dope your scene is.

Akim Hash(본명: Hasan Nasser)는 UAE에서 태어난 루마니아 프로듀서/Dj 입니다. 1980년에 음악과 소리에 매료되어, 영국왕립음악원에서 피아노를 공부하고 1991년에 가족과 함께 루마니아에 왔습니다. 1996년에 그의 형제와 함께 전자음악을 만들기 시작했고, 방에는 음악 시스템을 구축했습니다. 몇가지 프로젝트 중에는 딥하우스, 펑키 디스코 하우스를 기반으로 한 GrooveOholics가 있습니다. 2000년에는 첫번째 라이브 공연을 갖습니다. 그 시기는 그가 12년 간 수백 편의 라디오와 TV 광고를 찍으면서 광고계의 작곡가/프로듀서로써 커리어를 쌓는 첫 계기가 됩니다. 2002년에는 그의 형제와 함께 Sunday People이란 이름으로 활동을 시작합니다. 빌리 할러데이, 브라이언 페리 같은 유명한 뮤지션을 리믹스하거나 다운템포, 라운지, 칠아웃을 기반으로 한 프로젝트를 진행하면서 세계시장에 발을 들여놓게 됩니다.

2009년에는 솔로 프로젝트인 Akim Hash를 시작합니다. 종합적인 일렉트로닉 프로젝트로, 100% 핸드메이드 제작을 목표로 하면서 그의 음덕스러운 면모가 드러남과 동시에 그의 사운드는 진가를 발휘하기 시작합니다. 그 시기는 Data Life, Nick Van Gelder and the Coolness를 리믹스하기 시작한 때이며 Ony Ayhun, Saul Williams, Golden Bug, Them & Us, Ghostpoet 등을 위한 공연을 열었습니다. 2012년에는 베를린에 정착합니다. Akim Hash는 홀로 공부하는 음악가입니다. 스스로 기타를 치기 시작했고 꾸준히 음악에 대해 생각하는 방식, 인간의 몸과 정신에 영향을 끼치는 방식 등을 습득해 나갔습니다. 그렇게 그의 프로젝트는 진동(vibrations)을 통한 치유(healing)에 다다릅니다. 그의 음악은 지속적으로 리듬, 사운드 디자인, 보컬 프로세싱의 수수께끼를 탐구하고 있으며, 강렬하고 깊게 강타하는 시원한 신스로 가득찬 진보적인 사운드로 여정의 긴장을 풀어줍니다. 그것은 완전 신선하고 자극적인 바이브로 당신의 머리를 서서히 핑핑 돌게 할 것입니다.

그냥 제가 그래요. 전 어디 나서는 걸 싫어하는 데다 클럽에 가면 뒤쪽 어두운 구석에만 있죠. 언론도 인터넷도 잘 안 들여다봐요. 그저 관심이 없죠. 무슨 신비주의처럼 보일진 몰라도, 이렇게 하는 것이 저와 다른 사람들이 제 음악에 더 가까울 수 있도록 만들죠. 제가 옛날에 정글이나 개러지 튠들을 좋아했던 때를 생각해보면, 어떤 음악들에 대해 전혀 모르고 있을 때 음악과 나 사이에 아무런 장벽도 없게 되는 것 같은데, 저는 그게 너무 좋아요. 미스테리들을 좋아하죠. 그런 것들이 좀 더 무섭고도 섹시하다랄까요.
