The year is 1976 and schools are beginning to let out for the summer. Campers of all ages are welcome, though the older they get the less there seems to be. With an increase in monsters Camp Half-blood has decided to allow some campers to stay as they get older to help keep them safe.
No we do not! At the moment we don’t really have activity, but we are in touch with all the muns so we know they haven’t just disappeared on us. If there was ever a time when someone just completely disappears out of reach, then we would do a sort of “activity check” to see if they’re actually around or not.
random question, why are birthdays required? isn't just saying our age good enough? also, do you kick muns out when they turn 24
So birthdays are required for the Characters, not the muns. They’re just to help us and you keep track of the characters age as we slowly progress through the story. And the age limit (only for the characters) is only because we currently are not accepting characters that are older. Though if they age out we won’t force you to drop them, retiring them would also be an option!
Yes we are! Mr. D. and I just got a little caught up in some personal matters but now that things are slowing down us, as well as the campers, are planning to get back to business as usual.
Welcome to Camp Half blood Aidelle Fairchild (Kay) ! Congratulations on safely making it to camp and please enjoy the orientation video you can find here.
OOC Information:
Name/Alias: Kay
Preferred Pronouns: She/her
Age: 29
IC Information:
Name: Aidelle ‘Aidy’ Fairchild
Face claim: Sofia Carson
Birthday and Age: June 30; 17 (almost 18)
Godly Parent/Cabin: Aphrodite/Cabin 10. Aidy is claimed
Demigod Abilities: Charmspeak
Weapon of Choice: Aidy showed talent for the spear when she first started training. As many of her siblings, she doesn’t care for fighting but she likes the look of the spear (she says it looks elegant) and the reach she has with it.
Years at Camp: 6
Personality Traits:
+loving // -obsessive
After she discovered her mother’s identity (not long after her arrival at camp), Aidy resolved to be the most loving person she possibly could. She would do anything for almost anyone at camp, whether or not they would necessarily call themselves her friend. If anyone needs a favor or help, Aidy is more than happy to offer her assistance. This is only magnified with her friends and siblings, she can be a bit too much at times. She hates being alone and would rather annoy people with her presence than be forced to be somewhere by herself.
+cheerful // -flippant
Always ready with a joke, Aidy has a well-deserved reputation for being careless and glib. She earned it fairly and (like her mother) doesn’t take things very seriously if she can help it. Aidy would much rather focus on having fun and enjoying herself.
+humble // -insecure
Aidy puts on a very good show; anyone watching her would never guess how low her view of herself is. But she’s dealing with a lot of internalized guilt that hasn’t been resolved, and it has caused her to think very poorly of herself. She hides that under her lighthearted nature.
Paragraph: parental death tw, cancer tw
When Aiden and Isabelle Fairchild stepped onto their porch on a sunny June morning, they were not prepared to be faced with a child. Aiden was a model and Isabelle a makeup artist and despite the fact that both of them were, frankly, more interested in themselves than the other person, they made their marriage work. The child was the result of Aiden’s one last fling before marriage (Aiden and Isabelle were the epitome of a whirlwind relationship, having met and married in less than four months). But surprisingly, neither of them considered doing anything other than taking the child in. They named her Aidelle, after Isabelle suggested they name her after both of them, and they called her Aidy.
The responsibility of having a child hit Isabelle very strongly and within a few months, she had made the decision to stay home and raise her. Aiden made enough for them to live on, and Isabelle found that she loved the chance to be at home with their daughter. Despite Aidy knowing that Isabelle wasn’t her birth mother, she grew up adoring Isabelle wholeheartedly. They were very close and there was never any doubt that Isabelle was Aidy’s mom in all the ways that counted.
Tragedy struck when Amy was eight and Isabelle received a diagnosis of a fast-acting cancer. In less than a year, she had died. The whole process, already confusing for a little girl, was compounded by Aidy’s reaction. Seeing her mom sick and in pain was too much for her to deal with, and Aidy drew away from Isabelle. She refused to see her in the hospital and rarely went to see her even when Isabelle was at home. It went so far that Aidy refused to even attend the funeral when the time came.
After the death, Aidy refused to talk about any of it. She acted like she always had - cheerful and friendly and immensely affectionate, but any mention of her mom had her clamming up and walking out of rooms. Aiden didn’t know what to do about it and just left her to handle her grief in her way. And four years later, the monster attacks started and she went to camp every summer and Aiden assumed she was okay after that.
But Aidy was not okay. She knew who her birth mother was - Aphrodite, goddess of love. And while she didn’t feel any really strong connection to Aphrodite, the knowledge of her mother’s identity sent a fresh wave of grief and guilt through her. Because Aidy, who ought to have been the most loving one when her mom was dying, had been the complete opposite. Her fear and grief had driven her away and now she was left to try to process them on her own. Aidy dealt with it by throwing herself into her relationships - not just romantic, but also her friendships. Aidy promised that while she might have failed her mom, she would never fail anyone that way again. She would be the most loving person at Camp Halfblood.
Any time someone needs something, Aidy is more than willing to help. She hates to be alone - her mom’s death left her with abandonment issues, because even though she understands theoretically that her mom didn’t abandon her, she still feels abandoned. She spends her time flitting from one person or group to another, never alone if she can help it. Aidy hides her guilt under a cheerful smile and flippant attitude and does her best to ensure that everyone who knows her feels loved.
Welcome to Camp Half blood Delilah “Taylor” Johnson (Yari) ! Congratulations on safely making it to camp and please enjoy the orientation video you can find here.
OOC Information:
Name/Alias: Yari <3
Preferred Pronouns: she/her
Age: 20
IC Information:
Name: Delilah “Taylor” Johnson
Face claim: Hayley Williams
Birthday and Age: March 24th, 23 years old
Godly Parent/Cabin: Claimed child of Iris, Cabin 11 due to there being no cabin for Iris.
Demigod Abilities:
Taylor is extremely fast, even faster than the average demigod.
They have the ability to bend light, and occasionally can make/alter rainbows. Photokinesis
Weapon of Choice: Sword. Though Taylor has learned how to use most of the weapons in the armory. Most importantly though, Taylor does not actually enjoy fighting but has learned that it can be necessary.
Years at Camp: 16
Personality Traits
+Adventurous - Taylor has never been one to turn down anything. Always saying yes to ideas, excited to see what lies ahead and how things will turn out.
+Charismatic- Even though one might think their hyperactivity would be a little much, for them it’s all apart of their charm. Somehow they manage to befriend and get along with just about everyone they meet, even the grumpiest of people.
+Compassionate - They care a great deal about many things (and people). Always one to try and look after others, making sure that the people around them are alright in both mind and body.
-Troublesome - Taylor is meddlesome and often times involving themselves in other people’s business. Even when it’s none of her own. They can’t help themselves from it though, always being nosy and meddlesome.
- Aimless - After becoming an ‘Adult’ they really didn’t know what to do with themselves. Camp was all they’ve ever really known and if they haven’t been forced out yet then why bother worrying about what might come next?
-Impatient - With age has not come patience, if anything it’s only become worse. Always dramatic when they have to wait for anything, demanding results right that second.
Paragraph: please include at least 1 paragraph about your character. This can be a biography, a drabble, just something for us to see that you understand the character.
Taylor was young when they arrived at Camp Half-blood, only 7 years old. They were dropped off by their father who hadn’t imagined that they would need to go that early. It was hard for the young demigod though. Hard for them to say good-bye to their father but even harder to know that they were the one who’d caused him to go blind. It had been an honest mistake, simply playing around with the light shining in through the window. It had happened in the past, the young kid getting over excited and bending the light in someone’s eyes. This was the first time they’d amplified it though. Accidentally overstimulating their father. Their father, a scientist who studied light. A scientist who was still determined to do so, even if he could no longer see it.
The adjustment to camp life wasn’t that difficult, it was no longer spending time with their father that was challenging. Still, they saw him on Holidays and birthdays so they managed to get by with constantly having a countdown until the next time they could see him. They hadn’t expected to stay at camp for so long, going from being the youngest at camp to one of the oldest (save for all the non-demigods). Even stranger how easily they molded into being a poster child on how to survive as a demigod.
It was a normal day like no other at Camp Halfblood. Taylor, age 19 at the time, had finished their morning sparring session. They did alright, not as naturally gifted as the Ares or Athena kids but could hold their own against them fairly well. Of course it had taken them years to get like that. First taking time to get them to hold a sword up in defense against someone else’s and then even longer to strike in the offensive. Now they were getting antsy. Wondering what the point of all the training was if they weren’t allowed to go on quests. Though it seemed like no one was allowed to go. Only those who got a prophecy foretold. A prophecy told by the gross mummy goddess living in the attic that hardly anyone was allowed to see. They’d been caught trying to sneak up their a couple of times over the years. Most times taking place in their early teens when they were making the worst decisions. Their most rebellious. Now they were ‘waiting patiently’ as Chiron told them to do so. More like waiting anxiously.
Welcome to Camp Half blood Marcus Jones (Megan) ! Congratulations on safely making it to camp and please enjoy the orientation video you can find here.
OOC Information:
Name/Alias: Megan
Preferred Pronouns: She/Her
Age: 23
Timezone: CST
Activity level: ya’ll know
IC Information:
Name: Marcus Jones
Face claim: Keiynan Lonsdale
Birthday and Age: 21
Godly Parent/Cabin: Hermes, claimed.
Demigod Abilities: Clauditiskinesis, the ability to control locks.
Weapon of Choice: Marcus uses the standard longsword that’s issued out to them. They’re pretty standard when it comes to fighting and doesn’t feel any need for any special weapon.
Years at Camp: 9
Personality Traits:
+ Playful
+ Friendly
+ Leader
- Mischievous
- Sneaky
- Impulsive
Paragraph:
Marcus was shocked to find out that they were a demigod, but it was pretty easy to adjust. After all, they had been twelve years old and what twelve year old kid didn’t want to be the kid of some god? Especially when it was the God of Thieves. And, okay, messages, but really, they were twelve, which were they going to pay attention to? To Marcus, this was the coolest thing in the world.
They were a year rounder, which meant their presence at camp became a solidified one and while they caused a lot of trouble in their earlier years they did wind up maturing (sort of.) They’re a goofball at heart, still the one to break the rules or nudge their younger siblings into causing a camp-wide prank, but as the years passed they started to take things serious too. Eventually they became cabin-leader and while some of the other cabin’s didn’t think they’d be up for the responsibility, they took it all in stride. They don’t anger easily and their time management is surprisingly well.
Welcome to Camp Half blood Charlotte Montgomery (Aimee) ! Congratulations on safely making it to camp and please enjoy the orientation video you can find here.
OOC Information:
Name: Aimee
IC Information:
Name: Charlotte “Charlie” Montgomery
Face claim: Zoey Deutch
Birthday and Age: 17. April 16th
Godly Parent/Cabin: Iris. Claimed
Demigod Abilities: Photokinesis
Weapon of Choice: No weapon. Charlie is a pacifist.
Years at Camp: 5
Personality Traits:
+Optimistic
+Compassionate
+Trusting
-Naive
-Pacifist
-Gullible
Charlie has always been an talented artist, due to the fact that the one constant in her life was that every foster home had a pen and paper.
While living in many different foster homes, Charlie picked up a bit couple of languages, while learning to speak Spanish fluently.
Paragraph:
When she first got to Camp Half Blood, it was quickly discovered that Charlie was not a fighter. At all. Scared of weapons and no desire to fight, she was more a liability on the field as opposed to an asset. As she got older, Charlie found that she was a pacifist and didn’t have any desire to harm anything. This stemmed from her vast love of animals. Any animal. She’s been even known to make friends with some of the hell hounds that live in the woods.
Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, Charlie never knew her parents. She’s been bounced around different foster homes in Northern Louisiana ever since she could remember. The official story was that her parents left her with the local orphanage right after she was born. The only memento she has from her parents was a necklace with a beautiful diamond prism that caught the light and send rainbows dancing. She never made that much of an impression on any of the foster families or homes she stayed with, so when room or money was tight, she was one of the first to go. It wasn’t until she made friends with a satyr did she learn of her true parentage…sort of. Charlie had no idea who either of her parents were…but the satyr swore she was a demigod and with nowhere else to go, what did Charlie have to lose?
Charlie is bubbly, outgoing, cheerful, optimistic, intelligent, and slightly awkward, and while she is also sensitive, she is not afraid to voice her opinion about things, and will readily stand up for her friends and family. At first Charlie seems immature and noticeably awkward, but she begins to dress and act more mature. She is also very idealistic, and expects everyone around her to live up to her own expectations, lofty as they may seem at times. Charlie also prefers to maintain her own belief in things despite disagreement from others. Charlie never gives up hope and will do whatever it takes to keep her friends happy, even at the expense of her own emotional well-being.
Charlie is rather intelligent, but for all her acumen, she tends have some ditzy and sometimes scatterbrained moments. Charlie’s klutziness often results in embarrassing and funny moments as well. Charlie also has a serious and tougher side, but is often worries about what other people think of her deep down.
After a long day of Capture the Flag, one team has finally succeeded!
The Blue teams strategy of keeping the flag away from the larger area of troops worked for them pretty well until Matthew Murtaugh figured out their plan! While his siblings in the Ares cabin didn’t listen, Adara Davis from the Hepheastus cabin trusted her friend, which led to the capture of the flag- locking in a win for the Red Team!
Congratulations to the Red Team for winning the first game of capture the flag! This is information that you may use in your threads moving forward. While everyone did an amazing job, the admin team felt that Megan really helped with pulling her team to victory. We look forward to allowing each of our members to shine in some way during the events that will be held.
With the event officially being over, no new threads can be made about the event. Although Head Cannons / Drabbles will be allowed. And existing threads may be completed as well!
With this, please feel free to move your timelines forward to Saturday, June 12th 1976 until Saturday, June 26th 1976!
Any questions, feel free to send a message and we’ll be sure to answer it.
Hi! I'm working on an app right now but I just wanted to clarify some things before I finish it up! Is it possible to have a child of the big three? Or can we only have demigods that are children of the other gods?
Hello! At this point in time we do not accept children of the big three, only demigods of all the other Gods.
