It took me a minute to understand and yes this is evil as fuck. For those still lost, look at the numbers along the left side of the graph. Flip the graph upside down. The number of murders happening after the “Stand your ground law” is passed skyrockets from less than 600 deaths to over 800 deaths

Or say in the ‘60s “no, I’m not going to let police beat peaceful civil rights protesters to death, so I’m taking up arms against the government”? Or say in the ‘80s “no, this genocide of gay people is wrong, so I’m changing these policies by armed force if necessary”? Are they shooting cops who shoot unarmed black children?

Until you’re actually fighting tyranny, your argument that your guns defend against tyranny is a goddamn lie.

when i posted this (in october, by the way, a couple days after the vegas shooting) it capped at 9k and fizzled out, gaining one or two notes every few days. then the stoneman douglas shooting happened on valentines day, and 2 weeks later it’s exploded to 30k.

the guns used in the vegas shooting were semi-automatic rifles modified–legally, in ways that are lawful–to fire like automatic rifles using something called a bump fire stock. the mod itself is illegal in a handful of states with unclear legal status in a few more, but it is legal in most states(including nevada) to use them to mod those semi-automatic rifles into automatic rifles.

AR-15′s, as i’ve been told eight million times by people who think they’re the first ever person to say this, are not considered assault rifles by legal definition. AR-15′s do not have selective fire–the ability to switch between automatic and semi-automatic fire– and for that reason do not classify by definition as “assault rifles” but by modding one with a bump stock, they can be fired like automatic weapons.

i don’t give a shit that vanilla AR-15s aren’t ~technically~ assault rifles. I don’t give a shit that you passed your semantics class in ninth grade. i really dont give a shit about how desperately you want to own a practically useless rifle AND the tool that allows you to turn it into the same weapons that the most recent shooters have used. there are more appropriate tools for hunting and self defense.

you don’t need it. no one on the planet needs it. it’s not a difficult concept to absorb.

there’s nothing on this earth that needs doing by you that only an assault weapon can do, unless its murdering several people at once. and if you feel like you need to murder several people at once, call your therapist and get assistance working through your crisis plan.

No one can use another person’s body for their own survival. If the person doesn’t agree to their body being used, then whoever is in need can’t use it. Doesn’t matter if it’s a fetus or a grown person, or you or me. If we don’t got consent or is revoked from us, then we can’t use someone’s body to live. No oen’s right to life is so great they can just ignore the bodily autonomy of another person. No one has that right. There is no obligation to stay pregnant for a fetus.

Can’t even take healthy organs from a dead body unless they agreed to it before death. Doesn’t matter how many lives it could save. They say no, no is the final answer. No one’s right to life is so important that they are owed organs should they need one. 

Forcing someone to stay pregnant against their will is considered a form of torture. If forced abortion is bad, so is forced pregnancy too. If you think abortion is immoral, I can’t find a single reason why forcing someone to stay pregnant against their will is moral at all. 

Plus, abortions have saved pregnant people from dying. Like from ectopic pregnancies, their fetus dying causing sepsis to occur. And yes, abortions are done on dead fetuses too. If it removes the fetus, it’s still an abortion. And some people wouldn’t exist today if their parent didn’t get a prior abortion.

But okay, if you’re relying on snippy little emotion fueled “gotcha” type responses, I can do that too; Why do none of you care that implementing pro life laws will only result in the deaths of pregnant people? Why have none of you acknowledged the fact that outlawing abortion does absolutely nothing to stop abortion from happening? This High School Kept Classes in Session the Day a Fatal Shooting Happened

On October 29, a fight at Butler High School, in Matthews, North Carolina, ended with a student shooting and killing a classmate, CBS reported. The student victim died in the hospital.

“We heard a bang and we seen [sic] them starting to fight,“ Lester Henline, a Butler senior, told WBTV. "All of the sudden he pulled out a pistol and everybody started running.”

“I just processed everything what’s going on, and I saw the gun and I had to run,” Jorge Sanchez, another Butler student, told WSOC.
