I wasn't sure what I should post. Since Peter is being secretive, I will also be secretive and give no context. Except the fact that Derek knows one hundred percent what is going on.

Peter had grabbed his jacket from the closet. He took his keys from the hook on the wall and made sure his wallet was in his jeans. No one else in the family paid attention to him. Peter went for the door and opened it. “I’ll be back later.”

Cora looked up. “You look fancy. Why do you look fancy?”

“I’m wearing jeans and a jacket.”

“That’s your suede jacket,” she said. She was on the floor doing a puzzle with Isaac since the table was occupied with an assortment of lunchtime foods. “You never wear that except when you’re trying to woo someone.”

“And you don’t have that dumbass V-neck,” Malia continued. “It’s a light blue button up. What is wrong with you?”

“I didn’t say when you moved in you could make fun of me.” Peter left and the others in the quiet house.

“He’s been acting weird,” Malia said. “Have you noticed?”

“Yeah,” Cora agreed. “He’s very…”

“Secretive,” Isaac concluded. “And more than usual. Before it would be like “I’m going to my room to do something, but don’t ask me about it” and now he’s like “I’m going.””

“Truly bizarre,” Derek said without looking up from the paper.

What if Chris didn't want Melissa to know he was in town because the last time they'd spoken was when he'd broken up with her?

And what if he did it because he realized how much he felt for Peter and being a man of honor he decided he couldn't be with someone he didn't really love?

What if, once in Beacon Hills, he's nervous about being forced to team up with his ex-girlfriend and the man he left her for even though he knew he'd never be with him?

And what if he'd felt in competition with Peter because he subconsciously wanted to impress him and was jealous that the wolf was trying to impress Melissa instead?

And, again, what if, seeing Peter's interest in Melissa, he resigned himself, also remembering the soft spot that the man already had for her, and in the end, given Allison's return, he preferred to put himself aside to concentrate on his daughter?

What if Peter didn't know that Chris and Melissa had broken up¹, or that the hunter was the one who broke up with her² anyway, and was showing off to Melissa and competing with Chris just to poke and provoke him (all the jokes about prey and predator, wolf and hunter)?

And what if Peter didn't make bolder moves with him because, even though he was jealous, 1) he respected Melissa and didn't want to make Chris feel uncomfortable by getting in the way of their relationship or 2) he thought that given Chris' nervous and competitive attitude, he was still in love with Melissa and in the end respected him too much to throw salt in a still open wound?

What if in order to convince himself to give up on Chris he needed to paint him again as the villain / he still wanted to redefine their roles by clearly opposing the Argents and using Allison as an excuse?

Melissa

What if seeing them compete together Melissa, clever woman, understood that there was actually something between the two of them and connected the dots and guessed why Chris had left her and now felt like the mother of two hormonal teenagers (again)?

And what if, even though she didn't like Peter very much, she was sorry that the wolf seemed to reject Chirs and tried to console the hunter by agreeing with him and supporting him?

The one thing they kept messing up on in this show is the consistency with ages. As well as when the fire happened. Like it would’ve been so much easier just to say that Derek was in his early 20s about 21-23. Obviously Cora was indeed a teenager so about 16-17. And then Peter looks like he is at least in his late 30s early 40s because Talia looked to be in her early 40s. See? Easy and simple. The thing about those flashbacks is that you have Peter looking like a teenager with a teenage Derek when he was probably in his early 20s. But then we have a flashback of Peter in the fire and suddenly he’s a grown ass man that looks to be in his early 30s. So yeah, the show sucked with consistency with ages and time events.

Okay but imagine this for the teen wolf movie:

Scott and Malia are talking about needing reinforcements. The scene cuts to a dark street. A voice says,

"I heard you needed my help." Peter Hale appears from the shadows in all his dramatic glory.

Scott is like "We haven't seen you in years. Blah blah blah..."

And malia is like "what's up, dad? We still on for Wednesday?"

And he's like, "of course, sweetheart :)"

And Scott is like "????? Wednesday?"

And it turns out Scott is the only one that hasn't seen Peter in years. Malia and Derek see him every Wednesday for family dinner.

The fact that peter truly cares about malia but is so god awful at showing it brings me joy. It also doesnt help that malia is god awful at accepting his fatherly affection. I mean, i get her reservations, but still 🤷🏼‍♀️

 Teen Wolf Wishes: less werewolves who are auto-cool at everything, more werewolves who absolutely fucking suck at peopling. Yes, I’m talking about the Hales.

Like, Scott becoming cooler I kinda get, but here’s the thing, he was human beforehand. But what about families like the Hales, where almost every member is a werewolf? It’s implied that there are some human members, yes, but not many (so maybe the lycanthropy gene is dominant?) and even so, they would have been born in an entirely different social construct in a family like that. Talia? Werewolf. Peter? Werewolf. Laura? Werewolf. Derek? Werewolf. Cora? Werewolf. Fair to assume humans are sorely outnumbered.

And I would bet that baby weres have to be homeschooled because small children have zero control, and it’d be pretty hard to explain your kid going full Eddie Munster at recess. But school is also where kids start to learn social skills, so by the time they do end up in school, they’ve had almost no contact outside the family, who are all like them, so…. I’m sure they have a pretty good learning curve, and I’m sure older family members do their best to help, but I’m also sure there’s a couple that just…do not vibe with this humanity shit.

Like Derek. Derek has literally never been human in his entire life. Instead of being Mr. Cool on the basketball team, all flirty and teasing, how much funnier would it be to see a young Derek who probably didn’t even own a pair of shoes until he was twelve and went without as often as he could get away with it? Who likes animals more than people and would rather sit outside and watch birds than go hang out at the bowling alley?  Also, wolves and corvids Vibe in the wild, so he’s learned his courting skills from the crows that live around their house. Instead of doing the basketball mating dance, he walks up to Paige and just hands her like…a cool rock he found in the yard yesterday.

Meanwhile, Talia is standing on the sideline internally screaming while Peter is crying laughing next to her.
