One morning, Eggar came to the shed. They were a kind engine, and felt sorry for T'oumii. "I'm taking a goods train today," Eggar said. "If you take it instead, I'll push coaches in the yard." T'oumii and Eggar asked their drivers, and when they said yes, T'oumii slipped out of the shed to collect their wagons.

Thinkin' more about how Gymnomi slimes would anthropomorphize trains. Obviously as these are Earth prototypes and not Gymnome ones, this is not canon. As discussed in my last few posts, Gymnomi Slimes are more likely to anthropomorphize trains with squash and stretch and giving machines more obvious body language, rather than adding faces, since Gymnomi don't have to have faces but do have to be squishy.

Because of its association with unrealistic cartoons, I haven't really delved much into this kind of squash and stretch anthropomorphism on vehicles, but doing it from a somewhat more realistic perspective as an alternative to faces is kind of an interesting exercise. Like, I can't stand it when the Thomas cgi series has the engines bouncing around on their frames, and actually squashing and stretching would be way worse. But that's just how the slimes do it! (Honestly, I do like the look a lot better when you choose *either* faces *or* stretchiness)

thinking about how id build a model railway given the money and a bit of space, i have so many ideas hehe

im gonna ramble about this because im model train brained again

id want tidmouth station as the centre piece, with the station on the side against the wall with retaining walls and town facades, and the yard on the edge of the table, complete with a turntable (oliver owns up) and some coal chutes (various episodes)

to the left, the “main line” would turn into a balloon loop, which in the centre of said loop would be tidmouth sheds! looping through and going through the station once more we would arrive at a henrys tunnel facade, which wouldn’t be an actual tunnel, but rather a cutoff board for the other balloon loop, which would have the iconic windmill!
