PRSA Young Pros Mentor Program Kick Off

Last night, the Young Pros kicked off their inaugural PRSA Young Pros Mentor Program. Thank you for all who attended last night!

Enjoy the beauty of summer along the Milwaukee River with PRSA Young Pros. Bring some old friends and make new ones as young professionals unwind at this laid-back summer social event.

Cost is $5 for PRSA/PRSSA members and $10 for non-members. Cash/credit/debit bar.

Interested in becoming a mentee in our mentor program? We have one spot left! Here's what one mentee said about the program:

"Public relations can be a tough career field to navigate for new professionals. The job market is very competitive and there are a lot of hard decisions and tough situations a recent graduate needs to navigate. But after graduation there aren't upperclassmen, your favorite trusted professors or academic advisors around to lean on.

However, a new program getting started by the PRSA Southeastern Wisconsin chapter, spearheaded by the Young Pros group, is offering the opportunity for new public relations practitioners to connect with seasoned professionals. Think of it as a chance to gain a PR big brother/sister - someone to ask questions you might not feel comfortable asking your boss or co-workers, who can provide connections to valuable tools and networks in the industry. I think mentors will benefit as well, being able to flex their leadership skills and help shape the latest wave of PR talent.

I'm thrilled for this opportunity to meet and connect with established local professionals. I think the Southeastern Wisconsin PR industry will grow stronger because of this program and I can't wait to be a part of the inaugural venture.
