I'm finally playing tlou 2 after putting it off since release and just have to say. This is a deeply miserable experience and I don't understand how someone coulf enjoy playing this. I can't believe these were all decisions intentionally made for the sequel to a game where there's so much love and healing. It's a misery simulator for the sake of being #deep and profound. I don't know what I'd prefer but it's definitely not this.

its misery and tragedy porn. it goes against every single message made in any tlou media (pt 1, left behind, american dreams, etc) about love and hope and healing, specifically so it can be an excuse to jerk off to the demolition and grossly degrade of ellies character. ive always upheld that its a gorgeous game with very fun gameplay, but zero replay value. theres not any part of me that wants to experience any of that again, and i feel terrible for the team that was forced to crunch underpaid for their game to be played and then left with such a horrible taste

i also uphold that if people knew more about neils writing history, they would not be giving him such blanket praise
