“No one’s going to let you rule over us that easily. You’re a child, you can’t lead a group like this. The fact that you’re essentially looking at this like a game is just further proof of that.”
“But it is a game, isn’t it?”
“I mean, that’s what they want us to think.”

“I don’t know that I like your tone, but… yes. I do happen to be a touch conniving, when it’s convenient. All future governmental figures have to be at times.”
“I’m inclined to think you’re of the same temperament that I am, given your want to take over the group. So I suppose how you feel about me should reflect how you feel of yourself, shouldn’t it?”
“Oh, you can’t talk me in circles, bitch. I get you. I get what you’re saying.”
“You’re funny.”

“That also depends upon the size of a group. With a group this small, if a leader tried to make a decision that the rest didn’t approve of, they would get overthrown quite quickly. Better to set things up as a democracy of sorts. A mock democracy, perhaps, with a couple of us at the head of the group to make the ultimate decisions and claim they were made by majority vote.”
“You conniving little bitch.”
“I’m not sure how I feel about you yet.”

“How what is?” the teenager questioned, brows furrowed. “I’m just . . calling it how I see it.”
“You’re awful, you know that? Words hurt, my friend.”
[tamarapalsey:]
“I think you’re overestimating the intelligence of what’s likely a child playing a prank,” Tamara returned with a shrug. “I’m willing to bet they’ve missed a step somewhere. They haven’t distracted our families, for those of us who have families that will come looking, or they haven’t accounted for everyone working together, or something along those lines. Someone’s going to find us soon enough, I’m certain.”
“Okay, okay. If you say so. In the meantime, I’m going to set up a society and rule over it.”
