wonderlcnd:
It was hard for her to talk about, admit that her dad is so sickly. Really, she didn’t talk about it with anyone. “I don’t – I don’t talk about it with people.”
Maybe she should have just been honest with Junwoo, but it was hard. Even saying it now, it’s hard to say. Shaking her head, she knew that male was right. communication was the key. If she was going to be a good girlfriend, a good partner she would need to be honest. Smiling, she nodded her head a few times at his words. Leaning across the counter she pressed a short kiss against his cheek. The only to make a good relationship was to talk and be honest. Telling him about her dad hadn’t been as awful as she thought.
“You are welcome, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you before. It is hard for me to be so honest about that. But I know you’re right, we need to be able to communicate. I will do my best not to work so much so we can spend more time together.”
He could understand that. But all the same, to carry a heavy burden all on her own like that seemed unfair. To know her father was so sickly yet to shoulder it without someone, anyone. It didn’t have to be him. But just someone to offer her support would do.
“If there is any way I can help out, let me know. I can pick up something you may need or if you need someone to talk to for a few minutes because you don’t want to be alone but can’t come over. Anything.” Junwoo touched her hand with a soft smile.
Whatever effort he could put into her and their relationship, communication, Junwoo would do it. They were young and she was going through a difficult time, but those weren’t excuses he would ever use not to be the best boyfriend he could at a time like that. And if she understood that, then everything would be okay.
