26_06_19 For the first time in a while I had a dream with a PN character. Lili was there and we (I was myself but younger, around nine or so) were going around looking at plants in two different yards because my subconscious couldn't decide where we were. It was pretty fun. She was wearing her PN2 outfit, and she just looked like a 3D model inserted into the real world.

An album I had been waiting two years for came out today. I remembered listening to a leaked early version back in July 2024. I associated one track titled "waxwing" on the leaked version with Elka.

There's no vocals or lyrics or anything of the sort. It just has that whimsical sound I associate with her. I'm fairly certain I heard it for the first time shortly after or the same time I drew "Written in the Stars." It made me want to draw her with Chloe again since it also sounds "twinkly" like stars, but subsequent listenings omitted Chloe from my "imaginary amvs," lol.

I mentioned a while back how one time late at night I suddenly understood Elka. I'm certain "waxwing" or another song from that album is what caused everything to click. I can't exactly describe it since it's like trying to remember a dream that was really vivid at the moment, but incredibly vague once you wake up. Elka went from a cartoony type, to a tragic figure, and now she's just a doll in my mind, I guess, lol.

Listening to the final version, now titled "her warm words in winter," makes me think back to how I'd pace restlessly and imagine all of the things I'd draw. It's difficult to describe my feelings without blurting my guts out like a mental patient. A lot of change has happened between then and now. My creative method is essentially the same, but with no more pacing at 12 AM.

It makes me want to draw Elka again which makes me want to draw PN crap at a higher frequency, but then I get stuck. What can I do that I haven't done? I suppose that's when I should think harder. I just have to think of new ideas, but what I can do with what I am given has a limit. STRETCH, IMAGINATION, STRETCH.

I also DON'T want to draw a bunch of PN things again. I like this more mellow drawing routine I've started in January. I don't feel like I need to hit a "quota" anymore. PN stuff is still coming up, just every three months instead of every month.

Anyway, here is the aforementioned song. It's quite nice to listen to at dusk or during the night. It's also by the same artist who made "Time Tripping" which inspired the drawing I made of Quentin and Elka on the clock turntable.

took some of those ror pictures then realized they didnt fit. those pictures of her pn2 model are captured in the best possible poses but i think that model definitely can look strange at times. though the same sentiment goes to all three models. she just makes unsettling faces in general.

I forgot I had a Tomodachi Life save on my overclocked 3DS. I don't remember the last time I played, but the only characters on the island were from Psychonauts (except the lookalike and the second Mii which are me and my sister), so that tells me everything I need to know. There's the campers (DUH.), the counselors/main agents, Hollis, Truman, and even Dart. Sasha and Milla got married (what luck.) You can see a picture of them together in their house with Elton's head slightly out of frame below.
