I'm really curious about that retrospective book, I originally assumed it was just an alternate version of the df anniversary book but looking at it now it's a completely different shape, so either they reformatted the whole book or maybe it's a new thing?

i've wanted to touch on the topic of military and Psychonauts' shared themes with it but i wouldn't get farther than just pointing out how common it is in the games. while not a consistent thematic element, it's still pops up more than not.

Ex: Oleanders whole character. Large part about masculinity and worth. The minds he touches being influenced by these side effects of war. (boyd, suburbia) (lungfish, added military). Fred with Napoleon and the level being War the Board Game. Even Pn2. Part of It being about the aftereffects of war on the psyche and wellbeing of the people caught in it. Milla + Helmuts fashion being inspired by a movement in opposition of war. The Psychonauts themselves working with/as a government organization. It's all lying there. Either obvious or subtle. Some details intentional while others probably not.

sound on. I like the corresponding music Sasha has here. The little hint of notes when Lili mentions him. then the full blown thing when he actually appears on screen. it coming back or dropping when he's present or not. A very nice theme he has. Not sure if it counts as one. but it's nice to think of him having a theme. Like wow he has a dedicated music track. so cool. so awesome. it's funky. it's him.

Cassies mum is pregnant here and I've never seen ANYONE talk about it??? Cassie who is your sibling....
