My Favorite Fonts: Academia Edition ♡ I usually tend to stick to the basics whoops, all of these are usually already found installed on your computer. However, I truly find that simplicity helps in increasing concentration. These are my go to fonts because they are neat and organizational, but also optimize information flow.

one vital thing i’ve learnt in the past year is how to structure an essay answer based on the question and the directional words that are used in it. directional words tell you exactly how you need to answer your question in order to get a high grade. these are words such as compare and evaluate.
here’s a full list of the directional words i’ve been given this year and how you should go about answering a question with these words in:
compare: look for similarities and differences and perhaps reach a conclusions about which is preferable
contrast: set the ideas in opposition to demonstrate their differences
criticise: give your professional judgement about the pros and cons of the subject that’s under discussion (make sure you back your judgements with evidence and reasoning)
describe: give a detailed account of the subject
discuss: give reasons for or against (you can present these in a ping-pong essay > for argument, however, against argument, however, for argument, etc.)
evaluate: make an appraisal of the worth of the subject
illustrate: make your understanding of the subject clear by using concrete examples
Do you think that high schools specifically should have real psychologists/psychotherapists/LPCs alongside school counsellors? In my experience, most school counsellors have been the most useless, passive and incompetent staff I've ever encountered. In North America, we put an overwhelming amount of emphasis on how problematic poor mental health is, why can't we have actual professionals do their jobs and help vulnerable teens before they feel worse. SJWs provide no focus towards this issue.
school counselors are meant to counsel on academic issues- where to go to college, which electives to take, etc. the reason they end up doing mental health care is because there aren’t school psychologists and other kind of providers in most school systems. so I tend to disagree that school counselors are typically ‘incompetent’- it’s more that they are being asked to do something they aren’t trained for and weren’t really intended to do in the first place.
I have no idea what your question has to do with ‘SJWs.’ The lack of school psychologists in public schools has far more to do with overall lack of funding for mental health care, particularly for the poor. School psychology is essentially an universal mental health program, and the US can’t even get physical health care universally funded.
but yes, I do think that high schools should employ school psychologists.

Classes start in 4 more days, can’t say I’m excited after being on a plane for 24h. 48h hours ago I was in Thailand, then I connected to Australia, then Singapore where they search you for bombs and drugs like no other country I’ve seen, then we flew to new Zealand and finally to my country. I might have gotten the order wrong. But oh well. The paper on the right is a psychological paper about behavioral activation my occupational therapist printed out for me to read. He knows i’m a nerd that way. 🤓
you can like a subject and still not be good at it!!!! you can fail a major class and still be interested in that major!!! and you can hate certain subjects and still be very good at them!!!! likes and dislikes don’t have to correlate with what you’re good at!!!!!
Now is the only time in your life where your full time job is to learn
