I've been meaning to talk about “Young Sherlock,” and the first thing I have to say is that Hero Fiennes Tiffin's Sherlock is gay, and this scene confirms it. I mean, a beautiful girl kisses him, and that's his reaction—I know comphet when I see it.
As someone who has read the canon of Sherlock Holmes, I loved “Young Sherlock," and I don't mind the liberties they took; all adaptations do it. I haven't read the Andrew Lane books that the series is also inspired by, so I don't know about what they adapted from it.

Also, Dónal Finn's James Moriarty is obviously a bisexual man, and I don't care how their heated rivalry is written in the stars because, in my heart, they'll be endgame. This is my first time shipping a Sherlock with a James Moriarty, and it is a sweet torture.
OG Sherlock Holmes already reads as very queer coded in a very specifically Victorian way, and YS really nails that aspect for me.
