👀 - to be caught staring at your muse (w/tsugaru) :)

Psyche sits perched on the edge of the bridge, swinging his legs in a carefree rhythm. He knows that Tsugaru is standing beside him, with his arms crossed over the railing, but he's not looking. He's looking down, past his dangling legs at the snow piling up on the ground below. There are streetlights far down the road on either side of them, leaving the bridge dark except for the artificial pink glow of Psyche's headphones.

The light gives the falling snow a surreal luminescence. And the sound of Psyche humming a haphazard song is swallowed by the blankets of snow building up on the town. It feels dreamlike, and Psyche tries to hold onto the moment as long as he can, but reality relentlessly encroaches on their hazy, pink little world.

Psyche's bare fingers begin to turn pink and swollen from the cold. Maybe a sign that they ought to get going. He swings his legs back over the railing onto the bridge, only to catch Tsugaru staring at him intently. Is he mad?

"Uh, oh, sorry Tsu-chan! I came all the way here to pick you up, but I got distracted by the snowy vibe here." Yeah, Tsugaru probably definitely wanted to get moving. Nothing else to read into there, for sure. "Let's get going! My pants are wet, anyway."

🚬 - to light your muse’s cigarette . (w/delic)

 Psyche didn't smoke on his own, generally, but he wasn't against it— he just didn't like the smell clinging to his jacket after the fact. The nightlife was aflush with smokers, and sometimes sharing a smoke was a good way to build the kind of rapport that made his work easier.

And sometimes Delic lucked into some fancy, custom bubblegum cigarettes. As he watched Delic take a drag, he thought of a few snarky things he could have said about how they had no idea what might be in these things, but then he watched Delic exhale a swirl of pink smoke, and the novelty won out.

“Come here,” he told Delic, scooting over to lean in close as he put the cigarette between his lips. When Delic tensed up, he hesitated, and in the pause he noticed that Delic was flushed. Is he not feeling well? Is he contagious? I’m gonna punish him if he gets me sick... “Well, what are you waiting for?”

Psyche reached up with one hand, gently clapping it on Delic’s neck, bracing the back of his head to hold him still. His other held the cigarette in his mouth, pressing it gently against the burning cherry that dangled from Delic’s lips. When it didn’t catch immediately, their eyes met, relaxed and friendly. Nothing pushy, nothing unreciprocated, nothing that would upset the balance of the universe or anything... Just when it seemed like the damn thing was never going to light, the flame jumps. Finally... Psyche thinks. If it had taken any longer he might have felt the air between them go all warm and pink and glistening. Get it together– it’s just a smoke!

Psyche pulled away from Delic and leaned back against the couch, taking a deep drag. When he exhaled, he caught Delic’s eye. Staring? Ha. Don’t get your hopes up! “What? You know I don’t have a lighter!”

Despite what appears to be a pleasantly neutral demeanor, Psyche is a deep-feeling individual who attaches to people rather strongly. He doesn’t express himself particularly well; often relaying genuine compliments or sentiments that come across as sarcastic or inauthentic, or occasionally saying strange, off-the-wall things without seeming to realize how it comes across.

He empathetic and prone to worrying about people, but often not for the  right reasons, and rarely does his worry translate directly into action  for anyone’s benefit.  When he’s pushed too far, Psyche can and will become violently defensive over people he cares about with no regard for anyone who turns into collateral damage.

psyche has feelings for delic and feels ✨oodles✨ of resentment over delic's attachment to hibiya. he tries not to let this show towards hibiya because he thinks they're supposed to get along like family.

i... don't really know what "things" is supposed to be in this context but:

psyche can be kind of snippy towards hibiya on account of aforementioned resentment, but he says things that are just kind of off all the time anyway so it's probably pretty easy to just brush off until you actually notice the pattern that keeps happening.

also as mentioned above: psyche has it in his head that because they look the same, they're basically brothers and should get along and love each other accordingly. the hitch here is that he doesn't and struggles to work around that disconnect & its effect on their relationship

as a result of both of these things: psyche thinks and acts like he knows hibiya a lot better than he actually does.
