Our lord Feyd-Rautha deserves a woman that can challenge him, handle him, sometimes even best him. A woman that complements him, gives him access to learn what he truly desires. A woman who makes him whole.
And he deserves to host parties befitting his reputation as nr. 1 playboy. And to live in beautiful brutalist buildings, with military parades to honour him. And to be recognised for his sophistication, in addition to his perfectly sculpted body. And to be analysed to death. And and...
So I started exploring AO3 and Tumbler. I will use this mother-post to keep track of all (from my PoV) trackworthy rambles linking to sub-overview posts, with a shout out to a few blogs I read and just keep on reading.
And then.... the Eddington trailer hit... a second manipulative, slightly deranged, dom Austin blorbo came about...

In the unforgiving sands of Arrakis, a battle for freedom and power rages on, and at the centre of this storm stands Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen. Sent to Arrakis by his uncle, he is tasked with stabilizing the faltering spice production and quelling the relentless Fremen resistance. His arrival marks a turning point in the conflict, taking over from his brutal brother, Glossu Rabban.
His fascination with enigmatic Fremen leader, Yaina, drives him to extremes. He becomes obsessed with capturing her; for her allegiance and as a woman. Taking unacceptable risks, he manages to abduct Yaina. In Giedi Prime, he offers her a life of luxury and comfort, as he tries to win her loyalty and manipulate her into submission.
Yaina, a warrior hardened by years of struggle and loss, finds herself torn between her need to protect her people and follow her destiny, the intoxicating allure of Feyd-Rautha and the duty that Paul Atreides calls upon her.
Meanwhile, Feyd-Rautha's ambitions extend far beyond Arrakis, as he sets his sights on the imperial throne itself, using every tool at his disposal.
Once Yaina finds out who she truly is, Feyd-Rautha ends up becoming a means to an end, as the end game takes place on Kaitain.

oh interesting, so they're hairless in Denis' adaptation because of environmental factors 🧐 they are also super pale, so maybe their sun isn't good either (or too much pollution for that UV to get through), or they just have plenty of nutritional deficiencies hahah! Is the book descriptive about their/Feyds look?

question because I view you as the grand master of this topic/lore knowledge: do we know are Feyd's people hairless 'genetically' or by choice? i.e. do they shave/wax/pluck themselves for aesthetic/cultural etc. reasons, or are they born like that? Or are they just susceptible to alopecia and develop it often or something similar? Are they all hairless?
