Artists and animators of the TADC fandom,
I have an idea.
The last few weeks have been a lot for this fandom, and Gooseworx, with the stress of the theater release and the leaks and everything going on online. Today, the Digital Circus finale released in theaters and in a few weeks, it will release on YouTube and The Amazing Digital Circus will come to a close.
I think we're all well aware of the toll this series has taken on Gooseworx. The mass amount of attention it received, the entitled fans bullying Gooseworx online, the leaks, all the drama... I wouldn't be surprised if after the finale releases on YouTube, Gooseworx washes her hands completely clean of The Amazing Digital Circus and disappears off the internet.
But The Amazing Digital Circus did so much more than create some of the worst drama the internet has ever seen.
It changed the game when it came to indie animation. It inspired so many people. It inspired so many different animated series. It showed other creators that it IS possible to create an original show on your own terms that can outcompete anything Disney or any other big corporate studio spits out. It opened the floor for other indie productions like it to be made, it brought so many people together, including some of the most talented artists, writers, animators, and more in the world. It's done so much good for all of us. It's made such a huge positive impact, and I want Gooseworx to know that.
Here is what I propose.
A huge Multiple Animators Project, where we reanimate the original TADC pilot and present it to Gooseworx, as a thank you for everything she's done. No AI or anything, all human made with love and passion. It's like a letter to Gooseworx that says, "Thank you for inspiring us. Thank you for giving us this series." And one that shows just how much of an impact she had on us and how many people she inspired.
I'm not sure how the execution of a project like this would work, but I'm actively working out the details - the re-animated pilot wouldn't necessarily have to be just one medium; it could be multiple, like 3D, 2D, even stop-motion to make it more unique, and give as many people as possible a chance to contribute. We could also include a collage of (SFW) fanart in the credits from the past three years of TADC, and maybe even do some behind-the-scenes interviews or stuff.
If anyone is interested, anyone at all, message me or send me an ask or comment or something. I'm looking for people to help host and execute this project and anyone who might be able to contribute anything at all.
This is a wonderful idea!
ok so Scottmac04 on YouTube is actually doing this!

That's so cool!! I'm so excited to see other people had the same idea and are capable of executing it and putting it together and making it a reality. I definitely recommend checking it out, to any animators or artists who may see this, I really think this is going to be one of the greatest MAPs the internet has ever seen. :)

Iron Lung!! This is my Iron Lung frog creature named Luggy. This is how he was born in the SM-13 <3
I love him. I love him so fucking much. Look at those eyes. Look at his teeth. I don't know what he is. He looks kind of like a puppy. I don't know. I love him.
Hey does anyone remember that old fnaf animation thing that was foxy x mangle but instead was some guysās fox OC instead of foxy and mangle got kidnapped by a giant metal bird?
I swear it exists out there somewhere and I want to rewatch it for nostalgia purposes
IM SUPER LATE BUT I KNOW THE SERIES YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. I WATCHED IT TOO.
It's called The Pebble And The Fox on YouTube by someone called Nighttron? I don't remember the exact channel handle. I think the channels been defunct for over a decade now, but the series is still there!
It's not the highest in quality when it comes to animated series, but the way I see it is a kid watched Tony Crynight's series, loved the story, and was inspired to make their own series with their own twist on the story and had a lot of fun with it. Those kinds of series that are inspired by others and have that kind of passion in them are my favorite.
If you want I can give you the link to the playlist!
you think simon can read ao3 on the sm-13 computer
I've actually been wondering if the computer in the iron lung runs Python or not as when I first watched the movie and dug a lil deeper into the lore for both the movie and the game, I realized the computer terminal is pretty similar to the terminal used to run Python commands for Ubuntu.
If it does, or maybe runs some other future version of Python, there may be a way to pull up the Ao3 website using the right commands on the terminal.... I've been getting more into Python as of late due to.. uh, circumstances.. I could look into it and see what I can do.
I shall return with an update on my findings.
I want you to know exactly what you put me through when I decided to download your game, A Heart Of Iron. The only device I have right now to play it on is a computer that runs Ubuntu. Regrettably, I am not as well-versed in Linux and Python as I would like to be. This made the process of running A Heart Of Iron on my poor computer.... Difficult.... To say the very least.
Upon downloading the game files and unzipping them I immediately ran into issues trying to find the correct files within the game folder to actually run it, I must've tried to execute all of them, even the thumbnail images. When I realized that wasn't working, I went to Google for help and found a couple reddit threads and YouTube videos that did not help, however pointed me in the direction of Terminal Emulator, which is used to run computer commands using Python. This is where the fun begins.
I then proceeded to spend the next two hours looking up codes, watching tutorials and even pulling my brother's book on Python fundamentals from the shelf in a desperate bid to teach myself an entire coding language so that I would be able to download this one silly little game. My efforts seemed in vain, as I typed in code after code, command after command, slamming my hands on my keyboard, understanding nearly none of what the terminal told me except that IT WASN'T WORKING. Google, Reddit and even the official Ubuntu site were of little help as I searched and searched and tried and tried for a way, for even a LOOPHOLE that would allow me to play this game.
I had so many windows open on my computer - terminal emulator screens, reddit tabs, my computer files and disk storage, a collage of kitten photos in an attempt to keep what little sanity I had left. A few times I broke down and just laid on the floor, groaning in anguish that I couldn't run a simple dating simulator, and by the two hour and thirty minute mark, I was thoroughly ready to defenestrate my desktop. I pushed forward, though, for I had heard great things about A Heart Of Iron, and I wanted to play it for myself, refusing to be stopped by trivial things such as coding language barriers and sleep.
I did eventually fall asleep, however, and upon waking up I decided to consult ChatGPT, who educated me more in the ways of Python commands for old Ubuntu desktops, and even giving me specific instructions for how to go about launching games like yours directly from Terminal Emulator. And finally - FINALLY - I ran the right codes and was able to execute the game. When I saw the window pop up and your adorable wolf icon animation play, I actually cried tears of joy. The elation I received in those moments is indescribable. I then proceeded to run all around, yelling that I was now a master of Python and exclaiming my victories, profusely thanking ChatGPT as I jumped up and down like a madman. I then proceeded to crash and I must have passed out or something because I woke up on the floor.
I have since been playing this game and while I have not finished, I can honestly say that my effort was worth it. I nearly pulled out a chunk of my own hair, but I finally got to play A Heart Of Iron. Thank you for this absolutely infuriating, frustrating, incredible experience. Please continue making games. I shall await each one with great anticipation.
And hey. Now that I sort of know Python, hopefully downloading The Ideal Iplier on my desktop will go much smoother. ;)
BOY WHAT DID I JUST READ!?
All of this⦠for MY MINI GAME!?!?
I sincerely hope the game is worth it holy SHIT ššš
I promise, like sincerely utterly PROMISE that The Ideal Iplier while itās a much bigger file/game, will be SO SO WORTH IT!!!
But seriously even with āA Heart Of Ironā I am just⦠in AWE YOU DID ALL OF THIS!? THANK GOD FOR CHATGPT ON THIS ONE FHDHHDHDH
I hope you successfully get all the endings and just have so much fun playing! š„¹ Your undying support means a lot to me!
Update: I got two of the four endings before my desktop ultimately crashed and closed out all of my windows, including the terminal running A Heart Of Iron. I didn't have my progress saved, the terminal ran into issues finding the proper save location and apparently I don't know enough Python to remedy that. I was an idiot and said, "Oh it'll be fine I'll get all the endings in one go!" And my desktop was like "MWEHEHEHEHEHEHE I DONT THINK SO LETS MAKE HER SUFFER FOR NOT BEING FLUENT IN PYTHON OR KNOWING HOW TO MAKE UBUNTU WORK >:3"
So not only did I lose all of my progress, but because I don't have a shortcut to A Heart Of Iron, I have to re-execute the program via the terminal, which means more Python commands.
You may think I'm upset. You may think I'm ready to throw my computer out the window and give up. AND YOU ARE WRONG. I HAVE COME THIS FAR, I WILL NOT GIVE UP NOW. I INTEND TO FINISH THIS JOURNEY! I AM THE SAME PERSON WHO REDREW FOUR HUNDRED FRAMES OF ANIMATION IN THREE HOURS AFTER I LOST ALL OF MY WORK THAT ONE TIME!! UBUNTU UNDERESTIMATES ME!!! THEY ARE THE FOOLS!!!
SO HELP ME I WILL FIND ALL THE ENDINGS TO A HEART OF IRON AND I WILL NOT BE STOPPED!!!!!!!
Rrrriiiiiggghhhhhttt after I water my fish and take a quick nap.
A Heart Of Iron just got an update!
Now after you collect all the endings you can unlock an endless version of the sub mini game! Openable straight from the main menu!
