“Where have you been? I thought you were coming over last night.” She didn’t need an answer, she knew, which was why she was so upset, but, she was going to give him a chance to answer her, because he deserved that respect.
“I don’t wanna be friends. When I think about what I wanna do most in this world… it’s you.”
Satan sheets tbh
okay but she’d settle for the gutter honestly

“Magic is dangerous: it’s neither good nor bad, right nor wrong; it can be both a blessing and a curse. It takes strength, the strength of a witch, to make the magic her own, to make it serve her, and not the other way around. ”

Delila scowled at the Scotsman as she got up from her position sat beside Lucy, absentmindedly pulling the other girl’s hand away from her mouth.
“Because we’re not dating anymore, Wood,” the blonde snapped right back, pushing at his chest a bit in a silent command for him to give her and Lucy some space. “And don’t yell at me, either. There’s enough stress in this room alone, so please calm down.”
Taking her own advice, Delila took a deep breath and slowly let it out, her gaze moving over Oliver’s shoulder to take a look at the blustering Seamus whereupon she promptly rolled her eyes and moved away to the nearby potions cupboard to fetch the rest of the Calming Draught previously given to Lucy – thank goodness she had recently become a certified Medi-Witch or they’d all be fucked. “Here, Seamus. Drink this before steam starts blowing out of your ears,” she handed the vial over, staying just long enough to make sure he drank it so she could get back to her best friend and save her from Oliver’s possible harassment, no matter how well-meaning it likely would be. Lucy’s prophecy had them all suitably freaked out and worried.
Oliver scoffed as she walked away and gestured after her to which Lucy gave an absent shrug. “Some appreciation,” he grumbled and Lucy sighed and sat back in her chair.
“I mean, she’s not wrong,” she muttered and Oliver’s mouth fell open. “I know, I know, but you can’t just demand-”
“She demands,” he sighed. “I try and care about my friends and this is what I get.” Lucy gave a nod and shrug. This was exactly what he got, and Delila would have been pissed if he hadn’t turned up, but it wasn’t Lucy’s relationship.
Seamus pursed his lips before taking the calming draught, if for no other reason than to get Delila to go back to her seat and stay where she’s supposed to. Still the calm was welcome, everyone was at their wits end. “I hate divination,” Seamus muttered as if it had been Lucy’s fault that this had occurred.
Lucy sighed again. “Have you heard word from George and Angelina?” she asked, hoping to calm Oliver down.
He bit his cheek and shook his head. “Weasley’s were meetin’ at the Burrow with the babes so young an’ all, ‘cept Ron and Hermione,” of course, they wouldn’t turn there back on this event. “Lee said he was goin’ there too, wanted me to join.”
Prophecy continued @fearofmercy
They’d arrived at the ministry as reports were coming in of 12 dead and several more injured, wizards and muggles alike. Neville hot on their heels, word was all abound of Lucy and her prophecies. It was documented, and stored safely, but it didn’t stop the fear in her heart. Even as Seamus Finnigan and Dean Thomas took watch of the girls and they were most certainly trust worthy, but Lucy didn’t know what would happen from now. She certainly didn’t want to end up like Neville’s parents in St. Mungo’s barely clinging to awareness of the world.
Lucy had been given a blanket that was tightly wrapped around her as she leaned over on Delila’s shoulder. “Wonder if our friends are alright,” the few of them the girl’s had, especially Lucy. “You should send word -” She paused when Oliver Wood stomped in, angrily pushing right past Seamus who looked a bit like an angry chicken in the way his chest had puffed up. No visitors had been Shacklebolt’s orders. Lucy pulled herself up and bit at her thumbnail. “Nevermind.” It was a gift and a curse honestly.
“Why didn’t yeh owl me?!” he snapped at Delila. Merlin’s beard, his face was red, Lucy wonder though how long it would be until Lee Jordan, Angela Johnson, or George Weasley pushed their way through to. Dean was already trying to calm down Seamus, who might as well have been clucking.

Smile falling away, the archangel appeared in front of the witch, one hand gripping her hard by the face. “I would ask that you try being genuine,” he said, fingers digging in a bit harder, wanting so badly to simply crush the woman’s skull…but killing her would be such a waste of the power she held. “What you see as an acknowledgement of my superiority sounds far more like a challenge. Watch your tongue.”
Shoving the young woman away from him, Samael turned and paced over to a small table holding an assortment of crystals and looking through them; he soon let out a muttered sound of triumph and picked up what he’d been looking for. “Good, you have bronzite. What about Galaxite and dinosaur bone?”
She kept herself still as he scolded her, like those students, those stupid children who had walked into their deaths so oblivious, but she wasn’t that, never that. Lucy didn’t mean any challenge by it, but she wasn’t about to correct him. She collected the other materials he requested and brought them to him. “It’s not my place to question you. I’m sorry,” she said quietly, it was genuine because she couldn’t be anything else. She didn’t have it in her to hide her frown, or the shame she felt, whether for angering him or being powerless, it hardly mattered.
i did a pottery course earlier this year - here are a few of the things i made! what i learnt: you need way more than one layer of underglaze paint for strong colours after firing, same when you need to hide mistakes.
serialduplicity:
He took his hand from her hold, knowing well what could happen if a human ( powerful clairvoyant or not ) spent too much time looking within an angel, especially one of his caliber.
Grinning, Samael returned his hands to their previous position behind his back, blue-green practically twinkling at Lucy. “You are simply marvellous. Congratulations on successfully granting yourself another year of life,” the archangel praised with a slight bow of recognition; the motion almost one of respect. He hadn’t seen someone like this since before Christ’s birth. “However, I would still like for you to close up your shop for the day. I have a…ritual I would like you to perform. Any business you lose, I will reimburse you for.”
Well fuck! This might not have been any better than dying, hell, she was taking the serpent himself at her word and she could still hear the screams of the young woman in her head. She dared not disobey, even if directly that hadn’t been an order. She stepped over to the door, not even allowing herself to consider running because she’d die long before reaching her vespa. A fucking vespa. She locked the door and turn over her open sign before looking over to the angel once more. “What would you ask of me?” she asked as respectfully as she could, wanting to make it clear she’d resigned to compliance long ago. “I’m nothing compared to you, a speck.”
serialduplicity:
Clever girl.
“We can save the begging for later, though I do appreciate the offer,” he was smiling now as he reached out a hand, palm up, toward the witch. “I hear that you’re quite good with your gifts. Show me. Tell me what you see, Miss Jordan, and I might just refrain from causing you too much pain today. How does that sound?”
This was definitely not the kind of attention she wanted, especially in that she didn’t want attention at all. If she didn’t comply she would probably be killed, she felt heavy pressure to calm her racing heart beat. She stepped closer to him and did her best not to seem spiteful, how she wished she could have sent him away but it wouldn’t have worked.
Her hand shook at she reached out to him. “You are judgement, venom, archangel,” she murmured, already being able to feel a migraine brewing behind her eyes. Her only thought was not to end up blind or dead. Touching him however, she saw something more cruel and horrific than she was ready for. Tears washed her face. “She’s young and stupid, wretched vermin. She thinks she’s going to fuck her teacher but she’d the one who’s screwed. She screamed, music to you, her cries,” Oh God, Lucy wanted to exclaim, but didn’t think he’d take well.
serialduplicity:
“Oh? And just what am I, Miss Jordan?” His amusement was made clear in his words as took carefully measured steps toward her, stopping just short of her person; close enough to easily touch were he to reach out a hand. “A word of advice before you answer, though, my dear – don’t think yourself invincible because of the enchantments you’ve chosen to use as protection.”
“In that case, you’re clearly a man who might be interested a bit of incense for a better way to wind down after a long day of teaching,” she said with a bit of a huff, but also didn’t supply what else she saw about him, not wanting to make the serpent angry at her. “Would you prefer I beg on hands and knees?”
serialduplicity:
He’d heard whisperings of a relatively powerful witch, a psychic no less, in New York. For the most part Samael tended to let such rumours pass him by as most tended to be either partially or entirely false, and there were far better things the archangel could do with his time than chase after stories; however, a psychic could be an interesting thing to play with.
Entering the shop, Samael could feel the power and olde magick radiating from a few of the objects within and it brought about a strange sense of home. “No hurry, love. I’m mostly here to browse,” he placed his hands behind his back as he moved about the store, occasionally bothering to look at the wares, but his true attention was on the woman at the counter. “Though, I am curious, do you have anything…on the less hokey side of things?”
“Taking in the stock,” she corrected, as she looked up at him, and all of him immense power, and all of his certainty in it. This wasn’t what she expected, this wasn’t a place she’d wished to be, and her curiosity only grew because of it. She knew instantly that he wasn’t far more powerful that she was, but still, she kept calm, if he wanted her dead, he could make it so.
“I’m afraid I’m rather limited. I tend not to dabble with things beyond my purpose. Someone else might be more tempted by Angels and Demons, but I like to stick to less celestial things,” she said, stepping from around her counter. “I know what you are, do you want to continue this charade?”
@serialduplicity
Lucy had been tending her shop most of the day, but she couldn’t shake the feeling that she would soon have unwanted company. Closing the shop wouldn’t have prevented it, and nor would any amount of salt, nor sage. Curiosity had the better of her anyway, and she’d instead hidden a small silver dagger against her bosom, and a cup of salt in convenient locations around the shop. She had protect wards tattooed on her body anyhow, if they couldn’t protect her, little would.
“Welcome, I’ll be with you in a moment,” she said as she rearranged the display by the register. She hadn’t taken the time to look up, but she knew this man was the one she’d known to be arriving.
