Are You Proud

I climb to the top

Wondering,

not knowing what lies ahead.

Will I be free?

With each piece of rock that I grab,

It peels the skin off my

Cold and shrunken hands.

I tried didn't I?

Just like everyone else

I pushed until I couldnt feel

My fingers bleed.

Until I couldn't feel anything.

So I could make you proud...

But I didn't did I?

You just looked at my dead body,

And laughed at what a failure I been.

So what's the use of trying again?

Searching

Pleading

Grasping for any inch of nothingness

Wishing I could find one small pocket of air

As a crawl into my pit of unease

I take one last breath

And put my headphones in

Silence at last
