enjou fell first and lumine fell harder to me. enjou is self-explanatory (read like. any of his dialogue. dudes been pining for years /lh) but lumine's more specific.

I have this mental image in my head of her holding the flower as enjou walks away going "oh. OH NO" as all their interactions for past like. year. are recontextualized in her head (I headcanon that she started returning his feelings around 5.0, but subtly, so she didn't really notice until it was too late).

asking for ideas for my diana/gallowglass book 1 rewrite au (gosh that needs a better name. maybe i'll just stick to the matthew-less au lmbo) once again!!! ive been thinking more about how i imagine their first meeting/early relationship would go, and I'm still set on the whole 'diana almost getting run over' thingy. sounds terrible but it makes me smile.

ANYWAYYYY, i have 2 main ideas for where their relationship would progress from there, at least briefly after. either their meetings are a series of earnest coincidences orrrr gallowglass is lowkey planning on eating diana before obviously changing his mind. (he still falls first and harder, naturally)

Im leaning on the former because the latter feels wayyy too cliche (and it lends itself better to the friends to lovers angle imo), but the latter also has the benefit of offering a less complicated explanation for his rapid-fire attitude turn around, and gives them added conflict (the au isnt planned out yet but so far i dont have many ideas for troubles. and troubles are a must. /lh though maybe they just arent the place for trouble HA)

okay anyway basically. because I have a problem, I decided that I could only use characters that are either connected to enjou/remind me of him.

if you feel any are wrong (moved up, moved down, or removed entirely) please let me know! I'm entirely open to criticism. (I have only a casual understand of the bottom 4, so i especially need help with those) If you have any team comp suggestions, I welcome those as well!

other: just.... random stuff that i associate with enjou (durin is pyro abyss dragon- i know thats simplifying it but whatever- and klee is a pyro catalyst with fisherman's toast as her signature dish)

a diana/gallowglass idea that drives me insane but have no motivation to write is a hurt/comfort fic before they're married (or maybe after???) where they discuss diana's mortality and what that means for their relationship. (im think about this specifically in my book 1 rewrite au btw)

like. we know gallowglass has issues with his immortality!!!!! so i feel like that would be such an interesting concept to explore with them!!!!

diana would be the one primarily doing the comforting here, I feel. Like obviously it's a heavy topic for the both of them, but she seems more..... for lack of a better term, 'chill' (again SO sorru for bad phrasing) about the subject, at least from someone who's only read read the first 3 books.

more of my self-indulgent matthewless-book-1-rewrite au !!

i have no concrete ideas atm, just scenes. and this is one of them. i need to reread book 1 to see if this still makes sense but I have this idea that by the time diana/gallowglass get to Sarah & Em's, their relationship would be............complicated. Not in a bad way, more in a... "we're best friends but also not??" kinda way (specifically on diana's end).

Anyway I feel like they wouldnt get together for a while. mostly cus, specifically with these two, I feel like Diana's feelings would develop slower (especially if you take into account their initial animosity). This is entire based on their development shadow of night, but OKAY??? is that a crime?????? I want my annoyances to friends to lovers slowish-burn i was denied, dangit (/lh)

It’s so funny to me how both diana & gallowglass are (arguably) the voice of reason of the group, but NEVER at the same time and they also almost never listen to each other. (I say almost because diana never does, and i’m pretty sure book 3 gallowglass can say no to a request from diana one time before folding so. They cancel each other out.)

art of my self-indulgent diana/gallowglass au. (it's barely even an au atp but the concept is that its like. a rewrite of book 1 where diana meets gallowglass before matthew. I dont even know if matthew is gonna be in the au at all, that's how poorly thought out it is atm lol).

I have this image in my head of their first scene being reminiscent of fiyero and elphaba's first interaction in wicked (specifically the musical), with yk. diana almost getting hit and the two of them having a brief spat. sounds dramatic but heck if wicked can make it cute i can too. theoretically, anyway.

ive got no clue where exactly their relationship goes from there but eh. thats something for later. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know; I'm more than open (and very very desperate<3)

just remembered I spent months pre-5.8 researching norse mythology for enjou only for it to mean nothing..... that was fun..... (i'm glad I have the information but at the same time, i'm slightly bitter. That feels incredibly in character for enjou though. Of course he would mislead me by saying literally nothing.)

anyway I need him back. like immediately. When citlali said in the new quest that she had "nothing better to do" I was (jokingly) fuming. LIKE GIRL WHAT DO YOU MEAN???????? YES YOU DO!!!!!
