make sure i don't die, okay? {summoning | neku}
[They walked in silence for a short while. Rin took this time to fully inspect her newly inked skin, three prongs, three absolute commands. It was strange but the space between them seemed to be charged with an untraceable energy. Sure she already thought they were going to be anything but friends but for an unknown reason she felt the urge to be close to him, and not just for the sake of her own safety. Was this desire an effect of the forming of a bond between servant and master? Even with her new found knowledge she wasn’t able to answer such a question and that fact scared her just a bit.]
[Suddenly the charge died as he broke the silence. While she was aware that the situation as a whole looked bad he had no right to say such things. If she had the choice she wouldn’t even be in the Holy Grail War. Hell, she didn’t even know what to wish for, maybe to go home, but she wasn’t willing to fight to the death for such a small request. Not to mention force her partner into battle for something so stupid.]
[While she may not be the most conscience of people’s feelings it was obvious that he wouldn’t be happy knowing his was fighting for such a selfish reason. Still whether she wanted to make a wish or not she needed him around because there was no doubt that other pairs would be after them to eliminate competition regardless if they posed as threat or not. Even so he couldn’t help but be pissed off at him]
“Sorry to break it to you but not all of us are born with crazy super powers, or magic, or whatever. So, depending on myself really isn’t an option when it comes to war, unless I want to end up dead. Trust me I wouldn’t even be here if I had a choice. I know how useless I am in this situation.”
[The blonde sighed deeply as she finished her statement. Yeah she was annoyed but she knew that this must suck for him. Having to be stuck with someone like her who had no superior fighting talent must be a major let down, but in her defense those skills weren’t required for her profession.]
“I honestly don’t know but I think a safe place to start is finding somewhere to stay. I’m pretty sure you aren’t from around here either so it’s kinda important that we get this out of the way.”
"Guess that makes two of us."
Today was such total bullshit. First the Game, and now this...this War? I don't like people. I don't get people...
So why did it seem like I kept getting thrown into situations where I had to work side by side with them?
Saving lives. Protecting others? I wasn't some shounen hero, or a kamen rider. I was just a kid, a kid with his own set of priorities. I wasn't supposed to be saving the world. Hell, I could barely even keep my own ass out of the fire. A part of me wanted to walk away right then and there.
But listening to how absolutely hopeless this chick was, I knew there was no way I'd be turning my back.
Not again.
Sigh.
"Well, if we're going to make a move, we need to do it now. While the sun is still up. I don't know about you? But I don't want to be caught out here in the dark."
Especially when there were assassins lurking somewhere in the midst. They could already conceal their presence, did the pair really want to have to deal with the added handicap of low visibility, as well? Despite his insistence on not working together, Neku easily fell back into the roll. After having to put up with that loud mouth Shiki, this should be cake.
Then again, he didn't know Rin Kagamine.
The boy lifted his hand, finger pointing towards a complex just a little ways down the road.
"Apartment room might not be so bad. Few exits to guard, facilities. And a bathroom."
Because I have to pee.
