“Indeed.” he let the other speak first while walking on a slow pace, have them get their thoughts in order as they go on their reckoning. Best not to hurry all too much regarding information, else he’ll likely just confuse the both of them. “As I said, I stumbled upon it by coincidence — I wasn’t looking into the Hanged Man cases initially, but it showed up more and more on my own research. You could say I sort of … came from across the street to here.” he quit quietly flipping pages, now at the one he was searching for. “In other words, in a sense, I started with the hit instead of looking for it. —Are you familiar with the politician Inigo Lambert?” he started, looking at Saito. “No, he’s not a victim.”
“I’d want to get to the point quickly, so in a nutshell — they’ve been a bother, regarding media. You know, negotiating with the supervisors on what would be lovely on the paper?” negotiating was absolutely the wrong word, but technically he was still on the Clock, plus he has the habit of starting to ramble as soon as he talks about anything related to freedom of speech. “T'was difficult figuring out what precisely they want, but.”
Waving with the Notebook a little, it was clear where Clive was going with this. “Y'know, he has it rather well right now. Great competitors going missing, resigning, dying … as victims to the oh-so called hanged men’s’ death,” arms raised, almost theatric— “And the Media’s not mentioning any of it! Can sure leave one wonder, huh?” rhetorical. Pure rhetorical.
“Needless to say, this doesn’t include all hanged men’s’ cases, especially not the ones at business rather politics, plus Mr Lambert is by no means international — my guess is there are several who hire this third party, or at the very least one of them helps severals out by it. But?” finger-snap, and Clive gave his Notebook to Saito with the other, an evident smirk. “It’s a Name.” it’s a lead.
“Inigo Lambert, huh? That’s definitely a name I’ve heard of.” [It wasn’t THAT foreign to him, but it also wasn’t that familiar. There have been reports regarding the politician, and cases that have danced around the idea that they were involved. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much evidence to back up the problems given to the police.]
[There was still his concern about the other hanged man cases that weren’t covered by Mr. Lambert’s desire to become the next face in Parliament, but it is as Clive has stated... it’s a name.]
[Taking the notebook, Saito carefully stashed it away into his coat.] “Thanks, I appreciate it.” [There was a hint of worry in his voice; he may as well bring it out now than later.]
"I can’t help but feel like this is too simple of a reason for him to be related to the hanged man case. Maybe too good to be true. The majority of the kills in this case lean more towards business rather than politics, but maybe the reason for his relation is BECAUSE of business...” [Was Saito thinking out loud? Perhaps, but he needed someone or something to bounce ideas off of. Especially, considering, this is international and not local. He needed to do more research.]
[...or perhaps not.] “By the way, Mr. Dove. I’m familiar with a few countries and the power their governments have over the economy of the country. What is it like here?” [A part of him is hoping this could help the case run more smoothly, but that alone would disappoint him. After all, he was only called in for the harder cases. It shouldn’t be this easy.]
