"this dude told me that 'necessary' only has one r, not two. he's right, but i don't like being corrected. this'll show him," he readily explained. a made-up story, all for the purpose of amusing her. "hey, if you ever need to take revenge on anyone for anything at all, i'm your guy." he chuckled in that sinister way he does. "do you have any enemies in mind for tonight?"
"oh, so the grammar police? damn, he really did deserve it then." she admitted, shaking her head. she could tell it was made up, but she loved the idea of entertaining it. "you'll be the first one i call if that ever hapens. " she chuckles. "not right now, but ask me after a few more drinks."
"it's not that weird of a kink," he replied, enjoying the banter. "hm, why the future when i can give you advice now? not just on fashion. i'm an expert on a lot of things." he paused, pretending to think. "do you take constructive criticism on your dance moves?"
"trust me, it's very weird." she admitted, although she was fully teasing him. "oh, like what? come on now, einstein, don't leave me hanging!" she joked with a smirk. "oh god, am i that bad?"
body relaxed, arm sprawled lazily along the backside of the couch, her feet close to his thigh but barely making contact. despite the flirtatious remarks rolling of his tongue so easily, especially when hidden behind text messages, elijah knew better than to make any sense of a move with his roommates and captains sister at a house party. snapping back to reality with the audible grumble coming from giannna's stomach; a slow blink to bring himself back, his gaze moves towards the blonde with a raised brow and slight curiosity. “ taking a nap at a party was alright wild, gi, now you're gonna order the host a pizza? ” he teases, shifting his body slightly to gain more comfortability. “ i ain't picky. ” a pause. “ no green olives, though. ”
gianna stood up from the other's thigh, sitting up on the other side of the couch as she tried to calm her stomach. pouting at his words, she was quick to make a bit of a scene of it. " why's it so hard for everyone to believe that i can be nice for once? i mean, you all threw the party, might as well get something for you all as a thank you. or is that just not the right thing to do anymore? " she asked. " well then, i'm getting a hawaiian for the both of us. " she smiled. " why not the green ones? remind you of an ex or something? "
curious by nature, and observant to a fault. danica hadn't meant to stand there and stare, actually, the little voice in her head had been screaming at her to leave the moment she saw the curly brown hair swaying with a spin. but it was their schtick: stolen glances, whispered kisses, always gravitating towards each other when unoccupied with someone else. despite best efforts, the ending was always the same, and left the gaping wound just a bit larger each time they'd fall into the patterns. it was inevitable when she was caught, eyes slightly widened and a stutter in her tone. “ oh, end of the boy band dance number and top of the eighties disco hum. ” slight sarcasm to hide the anxiety rushing through veins. “ i should go, let you get back to it. ”
sammy would be lying if she had said she wasn't at least a little glad it was someone she had felt so comfortable with that had stumbled upon her impromptu fashion show, it was a little less embarrassing when it was someone she was so close to than if it was a stranger. smiling at the other, she walks up towards her and puts the scarf over her before then bringing her in closer. " well then, don't leave now." she replied. " i mean, if you've been here this long, might as well join in on the fun. "

summer had been doing a perfectly good job of pretending gianna didn't exist until the word pizza entered the conversation . gaze lifted immediately , though her expression remained unimpressed . " yeah , i heard it ... half of the house heard it , actually " she glanced overly briefly before settling back against the couch . " and why are you asking me like we're friends ? " the question came out bluntly , perhaps more so thanks to her slightly intoxicated state that left her with even less of a filter than usual , " whatever . pepperoni with extra cheese " a beat passed , " and if you like ... poison this or something to try and make sure you get the lead in the next production then i promise you i'll come back to haunt your ass . "
gianna could tell that the other had been ignoring her all night and she'd be lying if she said she liked it. maybe that's why summer had been one of the first people she asked. " did they? damn, that's not totally embarrassing for me at all. " she teased. " i'm just trying to be nice, summer, jesus. who pissed in your cheerios today? " she replied, a slight slur to her words almost immediately followed by the hiccups. " pepperoni with extra cheese, you got it. " she smiled. " am i really that predictable that people think i would actually do something like that to someone just to get the lead? "
and if she were to admit it? the hockey player would probably be kind of over it, too, but she wasn't going to admit to anything. usually one to show up fashionably late , she didn't get to see everyone get fully rowdy. "so good! i've had so many drinks," theres a head nod. "think i usually just get here after you leave."
the female hockey captain was glad to see a familiar face for once, she had made the mistake of mistaking some random girls for her teammates, and it nearly got them in trouble as a result. was it on purpose? definitely not, but she'd be lying if she had said it wasn't even a little entertaining. "that's good, i'm glad. can't say i've had too many myself." she chuckles. "are you threatened by me or something? i'll admit, i can be a bit much, but i'm a fun drunk, i promise."
there’s a soft bob of her head , she watches as the blonde reaches for another drink . and there’s a small part of her that is thankful that it wasn’t some type of alcohol . ❝ okay , yeah i can do that , you stay here , i’ll go find something . ❞ she offers a smile before turning away . ❝ i’ll be back in like five . ❞
she continues drinking the beverage in her hand, nodding her head at the other's words. " i'll be here. " she replied. " i promise i won't go anywhere.. well, unless a really cute guy invites me up to his room or something. " she smirked. " no, i'm just kidding, i'll stay put. "
natalia felt a sense of relief overfill her lungs from her conversation with sammy. it was like a breath of fresh air, something new yet comfortable just the same. “all that jazz,” she laughed, feeling it deep in her chest. her eyes brightened a bit before she continued speaking. “that’s a nice way to put it, i guess? as opposed to simply breaking down over anything and everything…i’ll have to sue that phrase from now on.” she paused. “say, are you on the hockey team? you look familiar.”
sammy nodded, agreeing with the other. it was nice to be able to have a conversation with someone without having to wait for them to answer back due to having someone else's tongue stuck down their throat for once. "i get it," she replied. "it happens to me too sometimes, although i tend to be a bit more private about it myself." she chuckles. "i am actually, kind of one of the reasons i have to be here honestly."
