he was trying to remain calm , to not be so on edge. he reminded himself that he was fine , that it was a big city and he wouldn't stand out. still , the doubt lingered in the back of his mind. going out to an open event like this posed a risk , he just hoped he didn't end up regretting it. “ well , you planning on bidding on anything tonight ? ”

declan wasn't the type to spend time at parks. or out in the sun unless his children required him to do so. still, he would normally opt for a more private and secure location. but then again, declan wasn't in this particular place to sunbathe. no, he had business to attend to, but he just so happened to need a coffee break and this particular bench seemed perfect to do so. as he was about to stand and go on his way, his body collided with another person's, hand stretching out to hold on to whoever it was.
