Stability was hard to come by, but he was managing. Then along came Shane Hollander to knock him on his ass, one more time.
Notes: I am in love with Ilya's characterization here. He is so vulnerable and sincere. I could see this story being adapted into a HBO series. Such a good slow burn!

Notes: A really cool perspective shift. Told in Marlow's POV as he sees a "domesticated" Ilya after getting together with Shane. Expertly written tension, and a really fun read!

Notes: A very detailed story with amazing dialogue and pacing. This story will rip your heart out and stomp on it. But you'll like it.

Notes: This story takes you on a roller coaster of emotions, its a real journey. Very intense and dramatic, but in a realistic and grounded way.

Notes: I love fics that dive deep into one aspect of a character and pick it apart. Ilya's cross necklace is such an important prop in the show, its a staple in all of the scenes when he's vulnerable with Shane. I really liked this exploration.

Notes: Ahhhhh! I love this fic so much, I think about it all the time. It is hot and sexy and dramatic and sweet and the perfect combination of everything! All the characterizations and dialogue is top tier! It's a lot of Ilya/Scott but does have Ilya/Shane so I'm sneaking it onto this list.

Notes: Very good dialogue! I like stories that explore Ilya's past in a realistic way that doesn't turn him into a different character.

Notes: Woof, this one is so good and dirty-wrong-bad in the best way. Great dialogue and a very cute story filled with language barriers and mixed-up social norms.

Notes: A bit of a darker twist on ABO dynamics in the league, and I'm eating it up! I can't get this story out of my head. I really like Shane's characterization and how he deals with the limitations put on him.

Shane braces as he says in a rush, “I can’t for two weeks.” Ilya’s eyebrows go up. “You are serious?” Shane nods. “You are saying you can’t have anything up your ass for two weeks?” Shane nods again, shamefaced.
Notes: I love Shane and Ilya in this fic. I want them to adopt me as a shelter dog so I can live with them forever and just observe their love. This fic is really sweet, sexy and light-hearted.
