My favorite bookstore ever was in Salem, MA and looked like this:

Extremely fucking precarious setup. Afraid to brush against anything. But if you went to the counter and asked for something, the guy there not only somehow knew where to find it, he could yank a book out of any given teetering stack without disturbing the rest.

glimmer is such a funny dog bc hands down the best way to reinforce a behavior with her is to throw her a party about it. when she first came home she was a little uncertain at mealtimes so i used to encourage her to finish meals by being really enthusiastic and clapping and praising her and saying YIPPEE! WOW! and throwing her a little party. this worked so well that i only had to do it for like three days before she had no issues at all finishing her meals, but she TO THIS DAY comes and finds me after she is given anything to eat, so that we can party together about it. shes done this after all her meals for the last three years.

this is true. there is a specific vibe of her "i just ate food please party with me about it" interactions that is immediately identifiable
