big learning experience & lots of fun figuring it all out, but i think it turned out pretty well!

excitedly waves hands HI okay so more about "come take a trip in my airship" with kayne and butterfly I have a whole brain animatic with them but alas don't yet know how to animate nor do I have the time to learn in a satisfactory manner but Oh Boy do I love thinking about them and that song so let me give you a brief run down so you can also think about the Images I will hopefully one day draw.

verse 1 -> (butterfly singing) Butterfly existing in his world, walking under stars in a field of flowers. Fun brain imagery here. Bird eating a butterfly. Kayne arrives right at the end of the verse

chorus 1 -> (Kayne singing) their first dance, basically the mini comic you made, Kayne's comment about a caterpillar in a cocoon, Butterfly's death at the very end of the chorus, blood splattering on the flowers.

verse 2 -> The Chorus joining Kayne as he does stuff. walking around, watching Arthur. Them occasionally peaking out too far (blood red shadows) and Kayne "don't make me come in there" with them.

chorus 2 -> part 52, Kayne explaining his wager, Kayne following Arthur and John's souls to the Waylay ('visit the queen in the moon')

instrumental -> MIRROR MAZE confusion time weird things too many nyarlethoteps etc

bridge -> butterfly covering kayne's eyes; butterfly in the mirror in the lounge during the confrontation between Kayne and The Manager in chapter 8 ('we swore to each other we never would part'); The Manager sealing Kayne in the stone and things cracking like a broken mirror

last chorus -> the nyarlethoteps AND KAYNE have the back up kid vocals here. imagine a zoomed in image on Kayne's mouth as he's waking up in the mirror prison, realizing his lips are moving in unison with the chorus and the overall situation. Butterfly gets the main vocals, focus on him being awake and smiling. last bit I alternate between imagining a zoom out on the stone in The Manager's office or the end of chapter 9 with the eye stabbing.

...I've been thinking about this since October 4th. I spent that day listening to the song on repeat and pacing around in circles. Oh how I love them.

Hope you enjoy the Images and thank you for all of your wonderful art of Butterfly. I love Seldon's writing of him so much and your art of him just wonderfully added to that and is part of why I'm still thinking about Butterfly these months later.
