I finally got my Mirodoll back together

not before having one of the s hooks snap against one of my fingers & cutting me really badly. 

there was a lot of blood, it hurt, & i cried.

first doll related injury.

its been 2 days & it still hurts to bend my finger.

Forgot to post got a Dollstown 18 years body for my Iplehouse Rebecca head. They are not exactly the same color but I’ll make it work.

Her neck looks short when I put on her head so I took this extra neck piece I was sent with my Spiritdoll boy & put it in between her head and neck. It worked sort of. I had to put small pieces of leather in between her head & the neck piece as well as between the neck piece & her neck to make everything move smoothly. Now she is almost perfect. you can just see one of the pieces of leather if you look at her from the back or side. Its not pretty because the leather is thick & gray but if i can get some thinner leather that is close to her skin tone she’ll be perfect.

I also got my Dollzone Ivy in the mail. her body is a bit nicer than Anita. don’t know why.

By nicer I mean it seems like Anita’s wrists & ankles have vary minor defects. because the joints on her hands sometimes get stuck if i turn them to far to the side. I’m not sure whats with her ankles. the left one is hard to move and the right one is floppy. I think the hook in her right foot can’t go up in her leg all the way & the small gap makes it floppy. not sure tho. Ivy has none of these problems.

I Dyed A Doll

ok so I bought a Iplehouse Ashanti in light brown and I wanted to put that head on my Mirodoll 70cm girl body instead of the Iris head

But lo and behold the Mirodoll body was lighter than the Ashanti head. So she looked really ashy with the Ashanti head on so I decided I’d dye her

Never dyed a doll before

I decided I needed dye made for synthetic fabrics because BJDs are not made of natural resin. so I buy some iDye Poly in brown and I test it on Iris’ head cap

Its too red so I go out and get some yellow to make it look more brown. 

It turned out pretty well there wasn’t any marbling and it was pretty even. it had some small spots where it took the yellow dye better than the brown but I easily fixed that with some pastels and sealed the whole doll.

my problem now is when I went to restring her her right foot has a small defect and it is impossibly hard to put her right foot back on. her foot is not broken or anything I just cant get the hook far enough into the ankle to put it around the bar

I think I’m going to get my sanding tool and just slightly lengthen the channel in the ankle.

Been doing some more extreme mods to my mirodoll iris to make her features more black

I can safely say she no longer resembles the original sculpt and she looks a lot better but I’m still not done

I had this weird dream that I started eating one of my dolls

like in my dream I was just staring at Ryan and then I raised his hand to my mouth and bit off all his fingers. It sounded like chewing on ice. I was so upset by the idea of eating one of my dolls I forced myself awake

I don’t think you know just how much money a billion dollars is here is a little perspective. full time minimum wage income vs about 100,000 times that. that is like working 100,000 years. it is more than most people make in there lifetime. even if you only bought dolls that cost on average more than $1,000 that is about a million dolls and most people who own bjds have less than 40 in there entire collection

I only have like 60 dolls on my wish list and most of them cost around $300 that is like me buying 55,000 copies of every single doll I’ve ever wanted

3,333,300 is a lot of dolls.

Doll Update

I got my orange doll recolored and her face up almost complete and then Anita arrived and i stopped working on orange girl to work on Anita

made her 4 wigs so far I plan on making her lots more

so she was going to be Sorrel my borrower character but I think she looks more like Tearose (Sorrel’s mom) so I guess shes Tearose now?

and now I want a Dollzone Ivana
