charlotte has always been a reclusive and serious individual. growing up, not only was she under intense pressure from her parents to have a perfect track record at school, she also had serious problems connecting to the other kids and thus spent much of her early years without anyone she could call a friend. charlotte never felt like her parents were satisfied with her no matter how hard she worked to please them and eventually she developed an intense fear of failure. for her, failure also meant not living up to people’s expectations of her, and so she distanced herself more and more from the world around her. after finishing school, charlotte left her home and her parents behind. although she fervently tried to find work outside of the city, her efforts were in vain - and so charlotte headed to glow metropolis, a feeling of dread in her heart all the way there.

it was here that charlotte finally found something she could get fully invested in. from the day she moved there, charlotte had always been suspicious of glow metropolis and its seemingly flawless ai system and advanced technology. she wasnt the only one who was unnerved. a small group of people based in the suburban village of lettucetown who call themselves the boiled cabbage gang convinced charlotte that there was something rotten about glow metropolis - and whatever it was, it was what was causing several citizens to mysteriously vanish on a weekly basis. charlotte immediately began to fight for their cause. not long after, she ran into ricky and befriended her under the belief that having ricky around could help her expose glow metropolis for what it really is.

charlotte despises small talk and being asked about herself, preferring to keep conversations focused and brief. she can come across as rude, but under her exterior she wants to be able to relax and dispel her fear of growing too close to people in fear of letting them down. she can’t convey her feelings very well. being around people who respect her boundaries without disliking her for them are some of her favorite folks around (and usually the only people she can open up to).

her secret love of romantic chick flicks must remain a secret at all costs.
