I’m gonna start one of my campaigns by introducing each character in a separate place doing their own thing, and then bring the whole party together by kidnapping each one. They wake up in a metal cage being carted in a medium sized caravan with the rest of the party. Guards on all sides, manacles on their wrists and ankles, most magic unable to be called. Toss em’ on a boat in cages again with a few well placed personal past NPCs. They can try to get out of their manacles success or fail it’s their time. BOOM before they hit the open sea another boat pulls along, and my main party of NPCs are introduced. Prolly take a couple of their personal NPCs away to where the caravan was meant to go.

So the campaign in running is a lot of first time players, and I just can’t get over one of my players decisions. Basically I like to make sure everyone gets a chance to roleplay and have their own moments in the game and THIS FIRST TIME PLAYER...decides to go out to the docks to ‘emo-ly’ look out across the waters and wait for the FXCKING SUNSET!!! I love them so much.

Listening to Crown of Candy and thinking about all the animals possible in a world of food. Pancake Manta-Rays. Hot-Dog Eels. An elephant made of bread with big ol’ croissant ears and breadstick tusks. Dope.

Currently working on my first campaign for a few friends over break, and one of my PCs has decided to play a Firbolg. I have become so enamored with this character design, and couldn’t help but spice it up more than just ‘cow people’. So basically their diversity is in all the members of Artiodactyla. Rams, elk, bulls, moose, bison, deer, pigs, hippos, giraffes, AND yes cows. Of course this isn’t the biggest plot relevant thing but it’s a lot of fun.

Mee-Maw tells Moonshine that things that can’t fit in anywhere else are drawn to and find a home in her and all I can think about is Hardwon Surefoot. Leaving the mountains after being rejected again and again in his youth by his peers, and even in his first relationship his first love. He goes to make a name for himself, to prove himself, but instead he wanders into a little town meets Moonshine and unwittingly finds acceptance, recognition, and a home.
