ALSO, before anyone flips their shit and makes 5 callout posts about me cause this website is Hell, I picked Lautrec and Anastacia as the Lovers not to imply any sort of romantic or sexual relationship, but rather to exemplify the deeper meaning of the card, that of difficult choices, the need to create one’s own values, and questioning what is right and wrong. There are many ways to interpret all stories told in Dark Souls, and we are all free to this interpretation. The Lovers card represents my own in regards to the meaning of the card and the events that surround these characters.

Yep, that is correct! I’m trying to fit the characters to the symbolism of the cards more than their general feel (hence Lautrec and Anastacia as the lovers, for example) but I wouldn’t have forgiven myself if I couldn’t put my own husband in there.
