DRAW ME <3
'my lungs will fill and then deflate;" || Jasper & Jacqueline [EVENT]
I need coffee.
The first thing that ran through her mind that morning, reminding her that she had to make a trek from Lumiose all the way to Geosenge to pick up her shift at base. She wasn’t looking forward to being back there. Tempted to just not return, she shook her head. It was her job, she had to meet the standards for the grunt. There was no way she was going to push more work onto someone else.
She rounded a corner, coming out of an alley. It was a shortcut towards Lysandre’s Cafe, which took at least five minutes out of travel time. Walking into the doors, smelling the scent of freshly brewed coffee. In her eyes, this Cafe was Lysandre’s best idea. The cafe pretty much beat out the whole Im going to create a new world thing. She ordered a black coffee, needing the extra caffeine. As it was served to her, a sense of vorfreude washed over her. She didn’t have the slightest idea why, but the coffee brought on that feeling real quick.
That, or her need for caffeine was at an all time high.
She slid her money across the counter, pivoting, she turned to walk out of the door. The coffee was steaming hot, burning her skin. It took a moment to realize that her coffee was not only on her brand new white shirt but also on the man in front of her. Her eyes we’re blazing, as she just stood there, the brown liquid trickling down her front. Why in the hell was he standing so close behind her? Did he not know what personal space was?
"You have to be kidding me right now."
Jasper found himself surprised at how much he enjoyed being in such a large city. Despite quiet beginnings, he felt right at home on the bustling streets. They weren’t completely new to him; he’d travelled them before, meeting other people like himself. He thought they were like him, though he didn’t consider any of them to be friends. Merely acquaintances.
Wandering absentmindedly wasn’t new to him either, and in his typical nomadic way, he had no plan of action or purpose. As he looked around he found himself taken aback by the glaring red of Lysandre’s Café. He vaguely remembered hearing about it in a passing conversation with another punk, but he had yet to step inside himself.
Our Typically Bad Attitudes {JasperDelilah}
The way Gengar’s joyful demeanor faded made Delilah’s do the same; a slight frown turning her lips upside down. Though she could understand the punk’s concern – if Gourgeist were to go missing, Hell would rise – but he also had ruined their fun. It wasn’t as if Gengar were in any danger, she would have taken great care of the imp.
It was what was in mind, for the ghost’s trainer not to show, but it was for the best, Delilah mused. Even with all their fun, she was sure Gengar wouldn’t appreciate being stolen.
Now I feel bad.
“Unless you’re just some fuckin’ weirdo that likes to roam the forest. Then I suppose you can do whatever the hell you want.”
With a snap of her fingers, Delilah decided to lay just a tiny curse on the male. Despite feeling bad about the situation, it was realized that she felt bad for Gengar, not the trainer who suffered short-term anxiety for almost losing her. What the curse was, the Hex Maniac let it randomize, allowing any possible negative fate to happen to him, without knowing exactly what.
That will teach you. Humming in contempt, she ignored the scolding look Jynx was giving, withdrawing the Pokemon instead. She’d see to it her own babies wouldn’t get caught in any possible backfire, which happened more often than not. It hadn’t happened in quite some time, though Delilah has been cautious ever since the first time.
“Lavender Town, you say? Why, that’s the very place I’ve been trying to find. I’d be grateful if you led the way, please.”
The punk raised an eyebrow when the girl snapped, but otherwise didn’t seem to pay much mind. Gengar seemed to give her a side-eyed glance, but it didn’t seem to be a knowing gesture. She looked up expectantly at her trainer to lead the way. He was rather still for a few moments before looking around. The forest seemed to have grown darker even in those passing moments, and Jasper looked around. A hand reached up to the bridge of his nose to pinch and rub it as he realized that his mind seemed… clouded. Suddenly he seemed to have lost his purpose, and he felt as if he was losing his mind.
He felt a tug at his worn jeans and looked down, and vaguely remembered that he was supposed to be heading somewhere.. Lavender town! “Right,” he said aloud, for no apparent reason. He cleared his throat before gazing around and pointing in a direction that was certainly not the same one that he had gestured to earlier.
The path that he was pointing at seemed to be one that was not often taken; perhaps there was a reason for it. The ground around it was being overrun by long tree roots and brush, and it was tightly surrounded by trees that looked as if they were huddled together. Their branches crossed and loomed overhead, as if they were hands covering something below.
“Here, we can go this way. It’s a shortcut right to town,” he said confidently. The look of alarm on his Gengar’s face and more tugging at his pants would appear disheartening, but the youth waved her off and began walking towards the overgrown pathway. “I know what I’m doing,” he lied, addressing the pokémon. Then he turned to the girl and quickly spat, “You coming?” In all his false confidence, Jasper was secretly alarmed. He thought this was the right way, but he wasn’t sure.
In reality, he felt terribly confused.
grand theft bass ;; jasper & roxie
Bafflement hovered on her face as the punk suddenly let go of the grip on her precious instrument, a sharp Take it, leaked from his lips as he fixed his gaze on hers, turquoise eyes slightly beaming as she realized the old memory was now hanging in her solely hands, a grateful smile now replacing the bitter one that was curling her thin lips. No words escaped from her lips as he called out for his Gengar, the swift shadow quickly looming beneath his legs, still angrily staring at her Seviper, probably not so sure about his harmless intentions. Why was he doing this? A rather odd behavior if you analyzed it more accurately, he has stolen it, after all, what was the point of giving it back? Pity. It was so obvious she could even understand it on her own, even though she wasn’t that shrewd. So, even assholes have a kind heart, she thought to herself as she slipped the shoulder strap of the enclosure of the electric bass, her gaze never left from his, almost defiantly waiting for him to say something, an apology. Yet, all she got was an irritated lecture.
“Trust me, or don’t, but I ain’t some kinda fuckin’ genius. I’m slimy and sneaky, but not a genius. If someone smarter than me wanted to steal it, they might have a better chance.”

Jasper wondered momentarily of all the things that were going through her mind, and he was curious to know if she wanted to turn him into the police. He casually and lazily stretched his arms above his head before letting them fall to his sides and shrugging. It seemed he now felt awkward; he had never stolen anything just to hand it back to its owner.
Indeed, when he was young he had seen people playing a variety of instruments, and he had vague memories of his mother and father taking him to some small outdoor concert a town or two over. It had sparked an interest in him to play an instrument, but his parents were simply too busy to ever give in to his unyielding requests for one. As a child, their noncompliance had sparked a childish bitterness in him. Years went by before he realized that they most likely could not afford to use their money for such a frivolous thing, and that they didn’t need the added noise when they were home and trying to concentrate.
He reached up to scratch at the short hair on the back of his head. It was a gesture he often made when he wasn’t quite sure what to say. Despite the fact he was being honest, he wasn’t sure if the girl would believe him. It seemed like as a good a reason as any to him, but then again, he had stolen many things with very little reason. Jasper couldn’t blame her if she didn’t believe him whatsoever. Even if he was still affiliated with a gang, this probably wouldn’t have been a prize that he shared with them. His efforts weren’t enough to succeed anyway, and he sighed. He didn’t want it anymore; not since he realized its importance to her.
“If you don’t believe me, that’s fine. I ain’t gonna bother you anymore. You’re pretty spunky and you’ve got fire in your eyes. I’m pretty sure you could kick my ass if you wanted to!” he joked earnestly. He looked down at Gengar and patted her head. “Isn’t the right?” he asked.
Gengar gave what seemed to be a haunting laugh, and danced playfully around her trainer. The punk shook his head and smiled at the pokémon’s exuberance.

If Seymour was impressed by this so called lady killer, he didn’t show it. Dubious at best, he shook his head and tapped the end of his cigarette.
"I’m sure that face of your’s attracts all kinds ‘a people," was all he had to say on the matter.

I say this: you write as well as you draw, dewy! In other words, your writing gets two thumbs up, a round of gratuitous applause, five stars, and a 10 on the Big D Writing Scale of Greatness (max. 10). Jasper has certainly stood out to me as unique, because he keeps it real and blunt! You showcase the rough edges of his personality so well, and it's been a real treat reading your threads. You are a fantastic writer with an awesome muse in Jasper, I hope he sticks around for a long time to come!
