Today’s my birthday and I keep thinking I’m emotionally ready for the depression that’s going to hit but I never am.

The past year has been a really tough year for me, so many tragic events happened and a lot of things changed for the better, but mostly I realized that all the people that I supported through thick and thin and the people I deeply cared for, didn’t and don’t feel the same way when it comes to me.

The moment when I needed them the most, they didn’t hesistate to turn their backs on me.

And I realized that no matter how I keep thinking of them every single day or through the week, nothing is going to change.

So an advice I can give to you, people who are reading this post, is never put anyone before your own well-being or worth, because in the end you’re going to be the one left disappointed and scarred for the future.

Tend your inner wounds before your tend other’s. Take care of yourself, because after all you’re trapped with own chains.
