I know that I am a regressor but I don't know what age(s) I regress to

How do I figure that out?

And it mostly happens when I'm super duper stressed and seems out of my control

Hi, darling! It's been a while since I got a message in my inbox, and I'm delighted to answer your question!

In my experience, and I believe most regressors' experiences, regressing to a certain age happens naturally and you don't really have the chance to decide what age you'd like to regress to.

However, regressing happens because our brains try to put us within an age-related mindset that helps us feel better than whatever triggers the regression. In your case, it would be when you are really stressed out. I would suggest possibly picking out a few things that fit the range you might regress to.

For example, you could do a coloring book set for ages 8 and 12, some toys for ages 5 through 7, or stuffies/blankies that make you feel secure for 1 to 4. You get the idea!

You may not have a definite idea of what age you regress to, but maybe you'll have a specific range! It may not be very helpful, but it was the only solution I could think of right now. I hope it helps some! 🩶

Started my first job yesterday, and I was able to mask my panic when my trainer left until my close friend showed up for his shift.

I was in storage looking for something when he came in and started talking with me. After a minute or two of him being there, my mask started to crumble and I went nonverbal. My hands were shaking, my eyes were watering, and panic and the feeling of being overwhelmed in the new setting started hitting me. He didn't get upset with me, or force me to use my words, he stood next to me and asked me simple questions when not making conversation.

A few stray tears made an appearance and he helped to calm me down, telling me to breathe to collect myself. Eventually, I was able to compose myself enough to be able to walk out and go into the bathroom before breaking down.

After my breakdown, his being there comforted me in more ways than I can describe. Whether it was him talking to me, me standing next to him, or just looking over at him to make sure he was still there, his presence made me feel safe and comfortable.

He may not know, or care, but if it wasn't for him working the same day as my first shift, I would have never been as calm as I was after my little episode. My first day would have been a total wreck, but I have him to thank for being my saving grace.

Nothing is worse for a regressor than to have found someone your little self is attached to and cares for more than you ever thought possible, only for your little and big self to worry that person may leave you...

But that's not even the worst part; it's the fact that they don't even know you regress or are attached to them that way. Now that's the worst part of it all...

When your cg gives you praise for doing something really hard for you to do and you had very little faith in yourself the entire time, however, they had complete faith in you from beginning to end and encouraged you to do what was needed for you to succeed. Praises like that will always hit differently, especially when you didn't think you'd succeed in order to get called things like "My smart little baby" in the first place. 🩶

What is better than going to bed while little and just before you go to sleep your cg sends you a good night text to wish you sweet dreams and reaffirm that they will talk to you the next day? I'll tell you what, waking up in the mornings feeling little and getting a good morning voice message from the person both your big and little self are attached to so much that just the sound of their voice makes your day start off better than any other day. 🩶

Little ones, Having truble finding safe friends and friends that also age regress,

Me to, but I’m coming up with a few solutions.

First is a simple symbol

Here are some examples

The number is your little age and the Y is a code meaning Years.

While I didn’t make it myself I would like to help increase its popularity in the agere community

I know that we all have trouble telling others or finding like minded people irl, especially because it’s almost always hard to tell people.

This is why that symbol is good, it allows us to communicate and contact each other without that fear

I also want to make bracelets with the symbol on it, but I have to wait for some stuff to come in the mail.

I think that the bracelets will be better then the symbol because it’s not odd to ask to look at someone’s bracelet, plus you can see it from further away.

The 9 stays the same as a sort of code and the letter should be a reference to being a Big one (b for big, c / g for caregivers)

Before my Spanish class started, I talked to my teacher about my birthday in April, and she asked me if I was excited, "Eh, kinda." I paused for a second before adding, "I would have been more excited if my Dad could have been here to celebrate it with me." (As he passed away November 2023), and the look she got on her face when I said that... I felt my heart slightly break when my words registered to her...

Immediately she started to comfort me and say stuff like "I'm so sorry", and "I know that's going to be hard for you", and then she accidentally called me honey. It took all I had to not regress on the spot because when anyone calls me honey or sweetie in the tone of voice she did, I instantly have the urge to regress... but then her face changed. She started apologizing for letting it slip and said it was an accident and she didn't mean to disrespect me. My heart completely broke at that time. It wasn't because of the look of distress on her face, no, it was the fact she thought she disrespected me when she tried to comfort me and was scared I would take her calling me honey badly... I quickly assured her she in no way offended me, and it had the opposite effect and comforted me.

The fact that she thought she disrespected me hurt me, and that was why I immediately pushed my regression aside to comfort her. If anyone ever says anything that makes you want to regress but turns around and has a reaction like she did, do a good big thing and make them feel better first if you can. I could tell my reassurance made her feel better, and I know if I hadn't done that, I wouldn't have been able to regress as happily as I did, no matter how many emotions were making my head spin. Grown-ups need comforting sometimes too, and your little self will feel a lot happier when you can do a big self thing like that, trust me. 🩶

it's so sad when you feel little, but you're trying to be big while you're arguing with one of your friends, online or in real life, only for them to leave you... you want to cry because you got attached, but you know it would be better for you, though you still dont want them to leave no matter how much they made you mad or upset you...

i just got home from watching Wonka in theaters! I have see-ed it before but I no have been in a movie theater since 2015 before the Big-C hit in 2020 and it was so much fun!! I sooooo happy I got to go and see it, I regressed the entire time and I still is, but it was da most fun I has had in years 🥰

Question, but what powers do stuffies have do you think? I’ve heard about them making sure there aren’t any monsters under the bed, and that’s why they sometimes are on the floor in the morning, but what else do they do? Would love people to add to this too with what their stuffies do!

Ooo, I love this question!! I have two I know my stuffies have.

I have noticed since I was younger that my most favorite stuffie that I've had since I was six sometimes ends up at the bottom of my bed by my feet or on other parts of the bed and not in my arms when I initially went to sleep. I think he does this because monsters are trying to grab my feet and he protects me by making sure the monster can't touch me. His little legs carry him all around my bed whenever he sees something trying to get me to make sure I'm safe and don't wake up if I'm touched by the meanie.

This applies to my giant stuffie and the same stuffie as the previous one. Since I've had those stuffies some of their fur has hardened over the years and at first I didn't know why. Then, I remembered that over the time I've had them, I've confided in both of them whenever I needed a shoulder to cry on, and the pieces of fur that have caught my tears that I didn't wipe off make scars on their fur. That is their way of showing me no matter how many years have passed, they'll always remember everything I've told them whenever I've come to them crying, whether I wiped my tears off of them or not. It's their way of forming scars, but just like scars on us, their scars are just as beautiful as ours are, because we still love them just as much as we did when we first got them; if not more!

For the numbers thing: 11! What’s your ideal little day?

11: What's your ideal little day?

I'd have to say my ideal little day would go something like this:

I would wake up with my cg giving me little kisses to wake me up and he would tell me we would be going on an adventure! He would help me get ready by grabbing my favorite clothes to make an outfit and help me get dressed before he would go into the kitchen and sit me down while he made my favorite breakfast, talking with me about anything I wanted to while I waited to keep me busy. After breakfast, we'll get into the car and drive to my favorite stores and buy anything I wanted to take home: New outside clothes, pajamas, pacies, stuffies, books, etc.

Afterward, he would take us to a park with a playground after all the little kids were done playing on it so he could play with me on the swing set, slides, monkey bars, and other things before he spread out a blanket on the grass for us to have a picnic for lunch with all of my favorite picnic snacks and drinks. Then, once we were done eating and talking we would go play some more either in the grass or on the playground.

Once dinner was inbound, he would drive us back home and help me bring all of my new things inside and we would have a fashion show for me to model all the new clothes I bought, and he would help me put everything away before he started cooking my favorite food for dinner, letting me tell him my best parts about the day even while we were eating dinner because he loved how excited I got whenever I was talking about something we did together.

Finally, with dinner finished, we would sit down and watch one or two movies of my, or our unanimous, choice while we snuggled on the couch and watched it together in our pajamas with popcorn, snacks, and my stuffie. Then, we would climb into bed together and he would help tuck me in, making sure I had my favorite stuffie and paci with me before he got in bed with me and cuddled me to keep me warm while he told me his favorite things about our day together, or even reading me my favorite story to help me go to sleep to end off such an awesome day!
