Well the idea that I hold most dear is probably my favorite. The idea that a simple sock over a person’s hand can bring a simple to someone’s face, even if it’s just for a second. Imagination is amazing.

Can you spot whats wrong with this example of puppetry?
Meet Oscar! He is a full on muppet style puppet with a foam skeleton and fleece skin. He’s roughly 16 inches tall, not including the arm sleeve, fully anthropomorphized with his front paws as arms and hands. He has no rear legs in true muppet fashion.
Merging into this muppet’s arms is a bit of “Lamb Chop” style tech. Instead of using traditional arm rods, the arms are controlled by a series of invisible thread strings just like my puppet Drew. Trying to communicate.
The arm sleeve is more important than you may think. What is the worst thing that could happen to a puppeteer? You arm is showing. The arm sleeve gives the puppeteer some leeway when performing. You’d be surprised how often the arm sleeve makes it into a shot on the muppets or Sesame Street. Without it, it would be the puppeteer’s arm for the world to see.
It's those little things that make the difference.
Meet my latest commission, Little Mary! This one for FluffySnuffy She is a professional grade glove puppet squirrel complete with a moveable mouth. She is 18-20 inches tall, including a built in blackout arm sleeve that covers her puppeteer’s entire arm. You can see a little bit of it beneath her skirt.
She is permanently dressed in an adorable blossom pink ruffle top and blue denim skirt with a matching pink hair bow attached to her head.
She requires two hands to puppeteer, one inside her body to move her arms and head and the other to pull an invisible string hidden in her dress that’s pulls open her lower jaw. Movement Demo ——> youtu.be/YLJ-sS8WcJ4

His name is Naruk'e the 2nd and his ready for his new home. He's made of soft white fur and fleece. He fits either an adult or child size hand with ease! Anything can be made into a puppet! One of my most favorite puppet builds so far, a commission for bizrat, a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor Hand Puppets!! T
hey are made from a real pair of Converse hi tops. The puppeteer's hands fit completely and comfortably inside the shoes with the thumb operating the lower jaw and the fingers in the upper jaw. I removed the original soles of the shoes and replaced them with lightweight foam soles with a hole in the center of each. The mouth boards are made of gasket rubber and foam. The hand covers are made from light absorbent material to minimize appearances and are permanently attached to the puppets to make sure the arms of the puppeteer are never seen.
