Everyone calls Xion a puppet, so maybe her own Keyblade would be called the String Cutter. Or something else that's "puppet/rebellion" themed?

(I more meant a keyblade already in the games, since Roxas got Oblivion and Oathkeeper even though they already existed in KH 1.)

The time of Organization XIII and Xehanort’s attempt to use Kingdom Hearts had finally passed. Despite the relief of many, it was obvious that not everyone was content with the situation they had been put in. Sora was now missing...and with that, no one felt that their role was truly over.

One of those people was Riku. He owed so much to his best friend...time...help...everything. And he wasn’t here. He couldn’t rest knowing that there was something that could be done.

He constantly spent his time with Ansem the Wise and Zexion, trying to find something that would lead him to the whereabouts of his friend.

Currently he was taking a break...trying to clear his mind of whatever may hold him back.

Cyan eyes glazed over the horizon, his gaze one of loss. It was around this time that he caught sight of someone...someone he hadn’t spoken to in a long time.

❝ Xion... ❞ he trailed off, allowing his eyes to catch sight of her raven black hair. It stood out compared to the rest of his surroundings. ❝ What are you doing here? ❞

Xion was one of those people not content to rest after their battle with the real organization. She owed her whole existence to Sora, from the memories used to create her to them unknowingly keeping her heart and memories safe for over a year. She needed to help repay him for everything he had done.

But she couldn’t do it like this, with a weapon copied entirely from him. This wasn’t her keyblade, just a sham of a real hero’s blade. So she went to find Riku, taking a trip to Radiant Garden and heading to the castle there. It wasn’t exactly a secret he was aiding the scientist’s in locating his lost best friend.

She was wearing the outfit she had acquired by the end of their journey, with a backpack containing her old organization cloak. She hadn’t gotten special clothing like the original guardians, so that old cloak was her only defense against the darkness between worlds.

At the question of what she was doing there she’d raise her hand, curling it as if grasping a handle as her replica Kingdom Key appeared in a flash of gold and white light, a near perfect copy of Sora’s own.

“I want to know...How did you get a new keyblade?”

Xion couldn’t help but raise a brow at that, slightly confused he was telling her this.

“Wow, Aqua really hasn’t told you anything, has she? Two of our friends use light and darkness. Master Riku uses both in equal measure, and has been exposed to it so often he’s practically immune to falling into it. And my friend Roxas can control them both so well he has two keyblades, one of light and one of darkness. In fact, they’re both probably our strongest guardians of light.”

“It’s just…in our experience once you gain control of the heartless, that’s the ‘tipping point’ so to speak.”

“…..No, she hasn’t told me much. I haven’t really asked. But it’s good to know that Darkness isn’t feared. And I’ll admit, the Heartless are….. a bit dangerous. But I’m rather confident in my ability to control them and avoid any trouble.”

“But the Heartless as a whole follow whomever has the greatest Will. And I’ve managed to keep them in check. If I didn’t rely on them to protect my world, I would allow people like you to train against them…”

“But it is good to know everything is relatively calm right now… Perhaps someday I can meet these other Masters….”

The insinuation that they thought Roxas was a keyblade master got a giggle from the replica, a hand coming up to muffle the sound.

“Oh Roxas isn’t a master, at least officially yet. Knowing him, he might just turn the title down cause he doesn’t want anyone calling him any fancy titles. He’s like Axel, doesn’t like things getting too complicated. I swear, you’d think those two were related with how much they have in common.”

“Xehanort is that old man I mentioned before. I won’t go into too much detail for Aqua’s sake but…let’s just say he’s caused her more then enough grief. And most nobodies form when the original has their heart taken by a heartless, being the empty shell left behind.”

“So, no, I doubt there’s another you out there. In your case, you might even be a nobody, given you’ve been giving your heart away.”

“And thanks…I hate to say it but we might need allies sooner or later.”

“Hmm.” Julian simply mused. “I shall avoid bringing it up to her then. Even if I’m slightly curious about him. Simply because he was…. a villain… does not mean his abilities should be avoided…. Darkness is not inherently evil. It is simply…. primal.”

“And Light is not inherently good. It is the will behind it that is what gives it alignment.”

Xion couldn’t help but raise a brow at that, slightly confused he was telling her this.

“…..Sadly those names mean nothing to me. As I said, I’ve been isolated here. What little I know of the multi-verse is because of Aqua and what little I’ve managed to estimate. I know the Heartless are not natural beings of this world. Nor are Nobodies.”

“But it is interesting to know that Nobodies can become…. entities of their own. I almost worry that there is a version of me like that out there… due to my splitting of my Heart.”

“But… as I said before. Welcome to Robotropolis. You’re free to explore as you wish…. This can be a safe haven for you, should you need it. Any friend of Aqua’s is a friend of mine. Or at least ally.”

Xion raised a brow at what the other claimed. Aqua had been hurt the most by Xehanort’s schemes, she’d be the most alert to the dangers controlling the darkness could bring. That was step in the right direction…but…

“If what you say is true, why don’t you have a keyblade now? If you can really control darkness as well as you can, and haven’t fallen into it, why wouldn’t Aqua allow you to get one? A heart isn’t the issue, the body will regrow it in time.”

“….I don’t exactly advertise my ability to use one.” He summoned his Keyblade. It was a factory/gear themed blade. “And thinking about it now, I shouldn’t advertise that I’m a Heartless Controller…. but I’d rather people like you don’t slaughter my only means of protecting my world from of greater darkness.”

“I’d rather not risk the lives of my citizens…. I use Heartless and robots to protect my world…”

“…Can we put these away now?” He dispelled his Keyblade to emphasize he was not hostile.

Xion was quick to dispel her own keyblade once Julian showed his own. That combined with his connection to Aqua was enough to get Xion to trust him enough so that she wasn’t worried too hard that he was going to attack her.

“Sorry about that it’s just...it’s taken me so long to...build this identity...this heart of mine. I don’t want to lose it. Sora disappearing doesn’t help matters, we can’t afford to fight another Xehanort right now.”

Xion was about to comment on how she only wore the cloak to protect herself, when he brought up the fact he was controlling the heartless. To say she was surprised, and worried, was an understatement.

She’d be quick to step back, replica Kingdom Key materializing in her hand.

“The last man that claimed that was over 90 years old, destroyed several worlds, and tried to trigger a keyblade war all for the sake of order.”

Julian took a quick step back and held up his hands in defense. “Whoa! Calm down and don’t do anything hasty. I haven’t left my world, nor do I have the means to do so. I’ve never learned how to use the Corridors of Darkness…. And I have no intention of doing so. I’m only protecting my world.”

“I can assure you, the only person who’s lost their heart since I gained control of these Heartless is me. I’ve broken my Heart into pieces and given them to key Heartless to give them power and maintain control….”

“You can ask… what was her name…. Aqua! She’s been here, she has seen what I can do.”
