tips for caring for sensitive littles -`♡´-

use a soft voice

gentle hand holding

no shouting please

always carry band-aids and kiss boo boos

lots of hugs if they want them

keep them surrounded by soft things. blankies, stuffies, sweaters, all the like

try to clean comfort items when they're not being used like when your little is asleep

keep lists of their favorite foods to keep them fed and happy

give all the kisses their heart could desire

be very patient, being little can be hard

try to keep comfort items on hand just in case

make sure they get nice cozy naps whenever they need

keep them well hydrated

Little Shower Tips!

Because I see a lot of bathtub advice but not everyone has access to a bathtub

💖 Get a really big towel to wrap yourself in! Big towels are often sold as beach towels instead of shower towels

🩵 You can also sit down in the shower, to feel smaller and to play, but be carefull when standing up again! (If you do this a lot, you can invest in a small non-slip rubber mat to put inside your shower so you don‘t have to stand up on slippery tiles)

🤍 You can also take toys into the shower with you, just make sure that they are safe to get wet and make sure that they dry off completly afterwards. As a general rule, plastic and rubber toys with no electronic parts are pretty safe to take into the bath with you, but avoid taking fabric and wood toys into the water and never get electronic toys wet

💜 You can also buy kid or baby shampoo and bodywash! They often come in really fun scents too!

💚 Maybe you can also ask your cg if you have one if they can help you with washing your hair

🩷 If you put a washcloth over the drain, it will stop most of the water from going down. Of course it will not get as deep as in a proper bathtub but it‘s still very fun to splash around in!

💛 Put on a story or some music via a speaker! Just be carefull to not touch electronic devices with wet fingers

Different ways to play with toys

As someone who sometimes has a harder time playing with my toys i saw a couple post talking about different ways to play with toys that aren't the “typical” ways to play

-✨-

❀ When it comes to stuffies or toys that have hair (ex: mlp) i like to give them a grooming day! I give them a bath, do their hair, and then sometimes dress them up like they had a nice spa day.

★ You can draw/paint pictures of them and write a story about them (an adventure, what they like, etc)

❀ if drawing isnt you thing you can also take picture of them and/or make a blog for them (pretend theyre taking pictures for insta)

★ Take them around with you to keep you company! you can set them up so it looks like they are playing games/eating with you

❀ Make them matching bracelets

★ If that stuff aint your thing you could always organize them, sort them by color or species, write a list about when/ where you got them, or one about who youd think would be friends

❀ Cuddle and hug them

Remember that not everyone's regression is the same and some people like to play with their toys in different ways, and no matter how they do so its perfectly valid!!

Anyone have recommendations to channels where bedtime stories are being read? I listen to rainy day audios on YouTube when regressing but I’ve listened so much I know the stories word by word and usually being read helps me sleep sometimes besides hearing humming or so
