do you want to splash in the lake? or pick flowers? maybe snack on some fruit while the sun warms your cheeks? or catch bugs and play fetch? spring is such a fun time for play dates!! of course allergies can ruin the fun with all the pollen, but the sun, the lake, the blossoms, the rain, it all makes so much fun! heres a little story game and then the filled out one on the right are my answers / preferences :3

clamboring to get behind their caregiver when nervous / afraid / startled / etc.

giving the thousand yard stare when eating something yummy

freezing when they lose their handler / caregiver

makes so much mess when they eat berries

gets wobbly legs after sitting for a long time and needs a moment to steady themselves

hiya, I was wondering what pet regression is exactly? a genuine curiosity, I just hadn't heard the term before and only ever hear puppyplay, kittyplay, ponyplay, feral...

I'm under the impression that pet regression isn't sexual (because it's a separate term outside of the sexual ones), but was curious if/how you and others of the pet regressor community felt it was separate from furries acting / playing as their fursonas (wagging tails, yipping/barking/meowing instead of human language, etc.)?

also, this feels like a basic question, but what do you feel is the difference between furries and pet regressors? I think it's in that furries don't necessarily want to be animals, and instead like to play around with a role as an animal, whereas "pet regressors" sounds more animalistic (maybe its more of a desire to *be* an animal (either some of the time or all of the time)?)

hihi !! yeah so i think the best answer i can give is to take a read through this comic here ! i feel this comic provides a general way to differentiate between communities though ofc theres info missing since its condensed. still a good starting point

as the comic i link mentions, the key part of the furry community is the anthropomorphism of the animal, not the animal (which yknow other furries can feel differently ofc). but i agree with the point made in the comic about that.

i think it really comes down to intention. pet regression is a non sexual coping mechanism, which like age regression can be done involuntarily or voluntarily to cope with previous trauma. pet play is specifically a fetish / kink term and should not be equated with pet regression. pet play is a power dynamic exchange, again mentioned in the comic above

and also the communities have a lot of overlap, so the borders blur sometimes. not all furries are nsfw and so you can see furries who are also pet regressors.

if you love the movie coraline like me.... you might want a coraline themed playdate for you and your friends! these are just kind of ideas compiled together for you to pick and choose from to make a fun little coraline themed playdate!

locations: - home (decorate with fairylights, flowers, stars, and whimsy!) - gardens or parks with lots of flowers activities: - make dolls of each other! these don't have to be human either. you can make a puppy with felt and button eyes for your puppy regressor friend! but get some felt or fabric, stuffing, thread, etc.! you can find different sizes of needles for thicker materials too - have a tea party! doesn't have to be a traditional tea party. get some fun plates and silverware, your plushies and a colorful tablecloth! set up some battery powered candles on the table and have fun! - play pretend circus! jump around, do tricks, show off your weird talents, play silly fun music - scavenger hunt! look for hidden buttons and painted rocks and various things. there are lots and lots of types of scavenger hunts foods, snacks and drinks: - mashed potatoes and gravy - hard candies, peppermints - cream soda and root beer floats - cake with candles - ants on a log (cellery, peanut butter and raisins) - mini cupcakes - pizza - bugs made of candy and chocolate - cotton candy

watch / read: - the coraline book and the coraline movie of course - anything laika studios - where the wild things are - bridge to terabithia - peter pan - monster house - james and the giant peach

takes their regressor out every day of summer. flower picking, park visits, museums, botanical gardens, the beach, icecream parlors, everything under the sun. and if their regressor can't go out, they bring the out to them

as a regressor they're probably a kid regressor and teen regressor. also a puppy regressor and maybe a bird regressor.

likes to be called 'songbird' as a regressed nickname

everything about them is colorful! hair, make-up, clothes, decor

helps smaller regressors learn to ride bicycles and go on adventures

likes doing chalk art with their little sibbies

popsicles are a neccesary part of their diet

they will cover your face in sunscreen for going outside to play

does matching temporary tattoos with their regressor and friends

loves lisa frank art

smells like crayons and pollen and sunscreen probably

always gets excited and makes a long list of all the things they want to do over the summer months

sandwiches are their go to lunch food (chicken salad, pb&j, ham and cheese, turkey, blt, etc.)
