Hello Euna! Please give us some insight into how bad k-army are freaking out right now ahahaha
Ahahahahahaha.... rose bowl? Hickeygate? It's almost 3am in Korea right now and over 800 people are still tuned in to a Twitter space talking about Kookmin.
"질투하는거예요 지금? 질투 하세요! 전 지미니 계속 잡겠습니다 - 에베붸뷉베부에ㅔ" Are you jealous right now? Be jealous! I'll continue holding on to Jiminie [teasing noises]"
^ Another legendary moment for the KM annals.... Just JK straightforwardly making a declaration with no extra explanation needed.
Hi Euna, hope you're doing well! I had a question regarding JK's response "그럼요", which translates to 'of course', to the ig comment asking to kidnap JM. I saw many k-kookminers react to this with vids of JK boxing & such, it gave me the implication that perhaps JK responded in sort of a challenging/sarcastic way? I had also looked up the phrase & found that "그럼요" could either mean 'of course' or 'of course not' depending on the question asked. I was wondering if you could explain this more?
Hello anon!
There's a lot of different ways to express the affirmative, "of course" meaning in Korean (그럼요, 당연하죠, 물론이죠, etc). They each mean similar things, but the tone/force that they give off are all slightly different. Out of those, 그럼요 comes across as having a more relaxed (the word I want to use here is "여유로운") tone. Which is why it lends itself to a more sarcastic, jokey feeling and why a lot of k-kookminers interpreted it as a challenging — "Sure you can take him. If you can get through me" — kind of way.
Overall, I feel like tone is one of the biggest things that gets lost with translation. While 'of course' is the correct translation, it inevitably falls a bit short of conveying the nuances of how 그럼요 can come across and be received. This kind of gap makes it possible for there to be misunderstandings, but I hope that it's abundantly clear that in this situation, JK was giving faux permission to a fan in an obviously joking manner.

Omg Hi Euna ! I missed you here !
I know many translations and opinions were already given about Jimin’s comment on the bromance moment yesterday but I still wanted to have your opinion on it as a Korean person
Hello anon! 💜
So in Korean he said "저 이런 작위적인 거 되게 싫어하거든요? 물론 저희가 아이돌이지만.." which in a literal sense, translates to "[You understand that] I really don't like these kinds of forced/contrived things? Even though we're idols.."
Basically Hobi was joking that Jin was doing fanservice by helping get something off of Jimin's face, and Jimin replied by saying that he doesn't like doing things just for show. In this context, "작위적인 거" (contrived things) = fanservice (which, in an idol industry, means showing off the "bromance" between members).
So while he understands that being an idol entails a certain amount of fan-catered performance, his relationships and interactions with his members aren't that. He wants it to be—and they are—genuine and natural.
Guess the common factor in these pictures…😂
Shy jimin is coming for you and your poor heart, just like bold JK has for Jimin lol.

Hi Euna, hope you're doing well! I have two questions about the vmk live:
1. Vlive translated Jk knocking on Jm's door as "three times a week" instead of "day", just want to confirm that it really is "three times a day"? Because I know that Vlive translations are sometimes really off.
2. From what I understand, Korean does not really denote pronouns (I/We). In the Vlive Jm and Jk say a lot of "We.." statements, does that mean it is the translator who is using 'we' instead of 'I', or are the two of them really saying 'we'?
Thank you for your help!
Hello anon!
1) Yes, it really is three times a day. JM clearly says "하루에 세 번씩 와요" and even the Korean subtitles reflect that. Going from days to weeks is a pretty big error for something fairly straightforward to translate... but it's good to keep in mind that professional translators are often overworked and underpaid staff and that mistakes that slip through the cracks are always possible. We should try to be understanding of this and practice consulting more than one trusted source!
2) Korean has the potential to omit pronouns, using context to fill in the blanks instead, but that doesn't mean that it happens all the time! Rewatching the VMK live with subs I think it happens only once—where they're talking about exercising, trying to get TH to exercise too, and TH says that with his current condition, he can only walk. The subs have it as JK replying with "We walk," but what he really says is "걷는 거예요," which translated literally is just "It's walking [what we do]." In that instance the brackets and the pronouns have to be filled in.
But in all other cases, whenever JK and JM says "we," they really use the word for "we":
둘이서 매일매일 운동하고 있는데... (We work out together everyday...)
저희는 이제... (Now we...)
같이 먹었습니다... (We ate it together...)
저희 둘이서... (We [the two of us])
저희가 다 똑같이 돌려드릴게요... (We will return it all to you in the same way...)
There's no ambiguity there!
