Elie Saab Spring/Summer 2016
Elie Saab Spring/Summer Collection 2016.
Elie Saab happens to be my all time favourite designer, in my eyes no one could ever out do him and his work. Every design he has created has always held a almost fantasy fairytale like feeling. The sheer fabrics and heavily detailed beading is the stuff of childhood princess gown dreams. His couture wedding collections are a whole other level of desirable beauty, if I could have anyone design a gown for me I have no doubt it would be Elie Saab.
This spring summer collection radiates beauty, the neutral palette of colours give a simplistic look. With flecks of blue throughout this collection giving a fresh spring feeling to the garments.
This collection much like all by Elie Saab is compromised mainly of light, sheer, chiffon fabrics. However some thicker fabrics have being incorporated into this collection to support the heavier about of beading that adorns this years pieces.
The collection has a variety of different designs from long ball gowns, shorter above the knee cuts and a couple of casual trouser outfits. Each are a work of art made of careful embroidery, lace detail and beads galore. Fringing can be seen in one design giving a summer sun vibe to the collection.
All models wear their hair down in a untouched natural style, the hair is kept off the face. several models are seen wearing delicate tiaras again giving the whole collection that wonderful princess like feel. The makeup is kept relatively simple with a soft glowing base, nude lips and a subtle soft smokey eye created with smudged liner well blended out. Attention is drawn to the cheekbones.
Once again Elie Saab has outdone himself and my love for his design continues to grow, the sheer fabrics and delicate famine designs are utterly beautiful and this is perhaps my favourite collection heās ever created.
