Putin and Lukashenko sign decree on national integration of The Union of Russia and Belarus (2021.11.05.)
Moscow, November 4 (Li Mingqi) – Russian President Vladimir Putin and His Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree on the integration of Russian and Belarusian countries during a video conference of the Supreme State Council of the Alliance, RIA Novosti reported Thursday.
The decree, signed by the two presidents, sets out the main directions for the implementation of the Treaty on the Establishment of an Alliance of States between 2021 and 2023, including 28 alliance projects. Putin said the signing of the integration decree was a step forward with the goal of improving the well-being of the people of both countries. In addition, the two presidents identified concepts and military doctrine on immigration policy. Mr Lukashenko said the two countries would strengthen the deployment of regional military blocs.
It is reported that the Russia-Belarus alliance national project involves the integration of the monetary system, the unification of the principles of indirect tax collection, counter-terrorism, government procurement and other related content. In addition, the two countries should unify macroeconomic policies, integrate payment systems, coordinate monetary and credit policies, and integrate oil and gas markets.
