“A refugee of an interstellar war! But now he’s at your local grocery store!” • Rose became a refugee after “shattering” pink diamond. But now she lives at a local town which is beach city.

“He left his family behind” • Pink diamond leaves the other diamonds behind in space to come live on earth

I have a lot of pet peeves but I think the biggest one is when people say things like “oh it’s such a small town, only 35,000 people” like bitch my town has 200 people, you need to pick a new adjective

According to Wikipedia, a small town is 1,000-20,000 people. So although you are correct in stating that 35,000 people is not a small town (it is a large town), you are incorrect in thinking that you live in a town. You live in a village. You are a villager.

It’s this type of stuff right here that keeps me from being able to relate to parents of autistic children. The comments all say “I didn’t sign up for this.” Well you know what? You did. I did. The moment you conceived your child, you signed up for whatever that child would grow to be. You think it’s hard for YOU? Imagine how hard it is for THEM. You feel sorry for yourself because you “wake up to screaming every single day”? Feel sorry for the human being who wakes up screaming every day, because they’re crying for a reason. You don’t want to change your child or feed your child beyond toddlerhood? Then WHY did you become a parent? Why would you take the 1 in 68 chance, if you don’t want the chances of having an autistic child? If you resent your child this much, go fuck yourself.

Mental illness sucks for everyone involved, don't be pissy because the parent is struggling. The child didn't sign up for it and neither did the parent, but they have to struggle together.

some more things abt love, simon bc i’m still emo:

simon has a different email in the book, but there’s a reference to it on the wall next to his bed (“hour to hour, note to note” can be seen behind him when he looks out his window)

everyone clapped, cheered, and cried during the ferris wheel scene

lots of things were different in the book but i honestly wouldn’t change anything about the movie because imo the changes made the story even more emotional and even as someone who read the book the movie was still suspenseful

simon spier is a cannon hufflepuff and that made me really happy

simons parents reactions to his coming out in the movie were. spectacular. those scenes were exceptional and very emotional and overall done super well.

i’m gonna read the book and see the movie at least a couple more times

simon is hella relatable. (see: “i like your boots!”)

the characters are portrayed beautifully in both the book and the movie. no personality is limited to being characterized by sexuality or by a single trait

the book and movie were gorgeous and i’m in love

also don’t forget there’s gonna be a sequel from leah’s perspective, in which she comes out as bi !!!
